I find it ironic how as technology keeps improving, namely TV picture quality and arrival of blu-ray, the quality of many Hollywood movies diminishes. What with overhyped franchises, shitty remakes, overuse of CGI and the moving away from shooting on film.

Same with popular music - so easy to buy music thesedays. Yet the billboard charts often consist of: crappy hiphop stars rapping about money and pussy; bubblegum elevator level music (Justin Bieber, One Direction); and third rate karaoke acts from Idol or X Factor.

Doesn't change the shitty content if you can see it "clearer"

I got lucky and bought my mates dead Nans 1080p TV for 20. She was super awesome though, so it's ok.

Wate of time. Whenever you upgrade in quality it just starts to look normal again after a few weeks.

I don't really know how more detailed a football game can get. I mean the upgrade from regular definition to HD was huge in the image qaulity for nfl( and sports in general). Do I really need to see each bead of sweat during 's post game interview?

It's all about dem Cowboy Cheerleaders you see for 30 seconds a game. Except not until next year... any playoff teams have actually hot cheerleaders, instead of just toned with makeup?

That's funny because the quality of movies are actually increasing. I always laugh when people say movies were so much better before when they really weren't at all..

Check out the highest grossing movies of the 90s. Laughable.

Please tell me all this quality you are talking about. Today has much better quality movies. Hell, 2012 put on some of my favorite movies of all time.

And if mainstream is hip hop is all about girls and money, why is Kendrick Lamar 2nd on the list for most hip hop almbum sales in 2012.
