They're obviously joking, the royal family are irrelevant.
God damn they are annoying though, William and Kate apparently have to be in the news every other day. Don't even know why she was in hospital for morning sickness.
Well, I read on another forum that she deserves to lose the baby because of all the money they cost us a year, so I didn't know what to think. I have read that it was something a lot more than just morning sickness called Hyperemesis gravidarum, and from my friends who have suffered with it talking about it, it's something that is really severe and requires medical care.
I was thinking today of how this reminded me of a somewhat similar situation involving a radio contest, where they had a competition to hold in your pee to win a computer console, and a Mother who really wanted to win for her kids ended up dying because of it. Now THAT is dangerous and we know it to be dangerous, however this is just a prank that has gone tragically too far.
Phone pranks have gone on for decades and rarely make the news, but when they go to far they do. The Andrew Sachs situation a few years ago led to firing of two of Britains most popular radio and television stars off their respective shows, although Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand are both as popular as ever now it proves there has been a backlash for taking things too far before. We laughed along with Ant & Dec and Jeremy Beadle when they did it. I, however, think that the people making the calls expected someone to laugh along and say No chance. They should have realized they were hearing things they should be hearing, and definitely not airing them. The sadness of it all is that the woman seems to have taken her life through shame, which is heartbreaking because she did what she thought was right.
Before this poor woman killed herself, the verdict was that it was tasteless due to the gravity of the situation but not shocking. It was tasteless as a young pregnant woman who was taking into hospital was being used as a butt of a joke, despite who she was. Then it all turned completely sour. I don't think they deserve all of the negativity they are receiving, but I'm not surprised at all.
