Re: Which English accent is your favorite?

I have the common ordinary 'too-posh-to-be-Cockney-but-too-working-class-to-be-posh' English accent. The three counties are like the epicentre of what the average English accent sounds like.

I fucking hate the Scouse accent, but to be fair to you Liverpudlians out there, every single one I've met has been a thoroughly decent and affable chap/bird. The Brum accent is horrible too, but I've been told I can do a great impersonation of it. Must be all those Ozzy interviews I've seen and hearing Barney from Napalm Death's humorous monologues everytime they play live.

There's no such thing as an English accent. Each town pretty much have their own distinctive accent...

Re: Which English accent is your favorite?

Even within Lancashire, you'll find towns having different accents: Preston, Blackburn, Darwen, Langho, Clitheroe, Burnley, Accrington, Chorley etc. All towns in a county only slightly bigger than Delaware (your second smallest state) and all have very distinct accents. You get it all over England.

Yorkshire: Leeds, Huddersfield, Wakefield and Sheffield - different.
London: Cockney (east), posh (west) and all points inbetween.
NorthEast: Newcastle (Geordie), Sunderland (Mackem), Middlesbrough.

So many distinct accents it gets annoying even for an Englishman like me hahaha
