Mother or father?
Self-explanatory. Which guardian do you have a closer relationship to?
I find myself having a more intimate relationship with my mother. There are a lot of things that I can talk to her about than my dad. My father and I have a good relationship, but there are certain things that I would not talk to him about. He has a stronger bond with my older brother.

Re: Mother or father?
My mother but that's by default as my father wasn't around at all. He left my mother as I was literally being born, great guy. I'm uber close with my mother, though.

Re: Mother or father?
Neither, talk to them both about the same stuff, never really have conversations with one that don't get to the other one. Just seems like they're both equally close to me.

Re: Mother or father?
My dad.
Some of it has to do with the fact that my mom lives back home in Biffalo and my dad lives 5 minutes away from me.
My dad and I always had a great relationship when I was a kid (the whole daddy's little girl stuff). My parents divorced when I was 13. Things were great for the first 3 years but then my dad changed. The first 3 years were just me and my dad. My younger brother lived with my mom and my older brother is from my dad's first marriage so he came to visit every other weekend. My older brother then moved in. My older brother and I were always my dad's 'favorites' (not that he hated my younger brother, but my mom was always on my younger brother's side no matter what), but, anyway, I guess the divorce took it's toll on him and he got bitter as shit and didn't treat anyone nicely.
I moved out a few years later and my brother moved out about 3 or 4 years ago now. My dad changed and realized he acted like a dick....you certainly see things different when you are sitting alone in an empty house.
My dad is going to be 60 years old in a few months. I told him when I was a teenager that you just never know when something is going to happen so we should always be nice to each other. He finally took the advice and is making up for being a dick, lol. We hang out a lot.

Re: Mother or father?
My mother. She was the glue that held the family together and made a lot of sacrifices to ensure that we would get education, always supportive. My parents were immigrants in Germany, she worked a lot to support us and I wish things were different now.
I don't have a connection to my father, he only shows when he needs something from us. He is currently living with a new girlfriend and doesn't even remember our birthdays. He is not a bad man at all, but I have almost zero connection with him now.

Re: Mother or father?
Neither.
Never had a good relationship to my mother, it's getting better
with the years, but... well I don't know.
I get a strange, unpleasent feeling when I talk about emotions
or have to express them in front of her.
My dad.. well I saw him 2 times the last 10 years.. he's a good dude,
wants to be treated like a buddy... but well, not a special relationhip either.
