“I didn’t really understand what was happening. I don’t miss her any more. I did wonder why she picked on me. I have spoken with dad about it loads and it must have been because of my age.”

La Garde’s husband was also duped into believing their son was suffering from cancer, Gloucester crown court heard.

Of all ways to gain extra cash, exploiting and controlling her son's life and future is the one she decides to go trough?
Like the kid said, there's no way she was 100% sane.

The Disney thing sounds awesome. If I were 6 I would totally take that deal. I don't have to walk around the park all day AND I get to skip the lines? Sing me up.

On a serious note the mom is a huge bitch for making her son go to school every day in a wheelchair. I don't know why he just never got out of it when his mother was gone and started walking. That's some messed up stuff there and I'm glad he's out of the situation. I hope the kid at least got to enjoy Disney without the lines.

I'll tell you what I did. I was there to keep the balance.

Look at the rants that get big and the ones that don't. I can't have been the only one that noticed that the rants attacking the worst users are, generally, the biggest draws. Without them, Rants would just be Anything with more cursing. It would be boring. So I worked to keep Rants shitty so everyone would have a reason to be there. I like Rants. But when there's no common crap to rant against, why would Rants still be there but to house two-page threads about something or other?
