My grandfather was in the Navy for 20+ years and then worked in construction till he was 60.

Re: What did your Grandfather do for a living?

I had one grandfather who was a navigator for the Air Force during World War II and was in the army for a long time after, even being stationed in France for a few years.

My dad's side I have no idea, I don't even think he worked. And I believe my mum's dad worked in the pot banks in the potteries.

Re: What did your Grandfather do for a living?

My grandfather was in the army, he was a big guy about 6'5. As a kid I thought he was invincible, until he got cancer and slowly deteriorated. Was sad to see, especially as a kid. It was probably at that time, even at a young age that I realised my own mortality.

One of them is a Korean War Veteran and a retired police patrolman.
