I told a friend of mine, who introduced me to hookah, about the health risks, and he got very confrontational and annoyed and started to ask, "Well, I'm still here, right? Nothings wrong with it. Relax. You need to lighten up." things like that. Reeked of someone who was in denial. |

I smoke hookah every so often. Maybe once every couple of weeks with my friends either at a hookah bar or at someone's house. I'm Arab so it's a huge thing in the culture. I've been smoking it since about 2005 but not on a regular basis by any means. It's just a social thing to do (although far from the healthiest).
By the way, it's also called "argili" in a lot of the Middle East and that's what I, as well as all my friends, refer to it as. I don't hear anybody around me call it a "shisha" although it is also a correct term for it.

This is what I previously said as well in this thread and the main reason I stopped smoking shisha.

Eh, I've done it a couple times in the past, mainly cuz some of my friends were really into it, but I've never really been a fan. It's hell on a person's lungs.
