10 years or 100 years into future?

One random thing I was thinking about..If you had the choice, would you rather see what the world was like in 10 years, or 100 years?

Whichever year you choose, you can't see what the world was like in the past, only what it's like in the present.

10 years means you'll know what the world will be like, while you're still living on it. Imagine this scenario in 2002(where you see 10 years into the future, which is 2012) and seeing how big the ipod will get, seeing that Internet Explorer is now the #2 or even #3 web browser,CRT screens are outdated, and so many other things.

Or in 100 years...2112, seeing what the world is like then. 1912, seeing just how far the world would have come since then, and all that stuff.

100 obviously. I'm going to see what its like in 10 years anyway but probably would never get to see 100 years.

What, to see or to travel to? I don't want to travel to a time where everyone I know is dead, I want to see who had babies with who. Oh and new technology etc yada yada

Re: 10 years or 100 years into future?

100 years into the future I would be a hobo without a job and even education as ours would be so outdated that my education would be laughed at. My family and friends would all be dead and I would have nothing to do or even get the chance to use technology as there is no way I could get it. Of course I could try getting into contact with my brother's grandkids but I doubt anyone would believe that I traveled time.

10 years into the future would be probably the same thing as I haven't completed, but at least I would have people alive I know.

Basically I wouldn't want to travel to future and have no idea why anyone else would.

That's the point though, getting to see 10 years into the future, before it actually happens. So you're basically deciding between seeing a future you're not gonna be apart of, or a future that you will be.

If you mean only see, then 100.

If I can travel for a day or two, then 10 (gather as much information about stock prices and betting etc. as possible)

Not so much living in it or anything, just like seeing it. Like those dreams where you're flying in the sky and nobody can see you, and you can see what the world is like, in diff scenarios(most common one on tv is what the world would be like if ___ wasn't born)

I would go and look up every result on every sports final, cup finals, etc. Then come back to present day. Bet on it.

10 years, and I would buy the sports almanac so I would know all the results
