Help with studies.

So I currently entered Year 10 in a school and I have to take about 4/5 subject which I took 6.

I arrived a month late in the school and had to choose my subjects in like 1 day but some of the subjects did not match the school's time table and I had to drop two subjects. These are the subjects I'm currently studying. Keep in mind that these are IGCSE subjects.

-English (First Language)
-Mathematics (No coursework)
-Physics
-Chemistry
-Biology
-ICT

I was never into the science subjects and I wanted to go with Economics and Business studies rather than Chemistry and Biology but I had to because they're one of the main subjects that I could use in future plus my family kinda pressured me into choosing them.

So I have this question that with these subjects(If I do well in the examinations), what kind of profession I choose and go to in the future. I always had a passion for being a Lawyer and a game/app developer. But.. :/

Also there's this ICE Award that they have and I know nothing about it and the school doesn't explain it really clearly to me, so if you know anything about that, tell me. :)

If someone have some knowledge in these matters feel free to share and help me.

Thank you.

you're year 10 England right? GCSEs aren't super important...science subjects give you more options so do them. Worry about picking your college A-Levels and do what you want in GCSEs, honestly.

What Waratah said. As long as you come out of GCSE with at least a C or higher in English, Maths and a Science you'll be fine.

Make sure you pass English and Maths, they are key to any success in your future. Then do what interests you as you move up into higher education.

Yes. But the GCEs(GCSE) are closed down I think. Most schools here either follow IGCSE or CBSE (Malaysia).

I did very well in English in the past couple of years Bs & As.

My main concern is the job thing and what I'm going to study in college/Uni.

I hate biology tho. :(

I actually chose 5 subjects without the ICT. I just chose it for the lulz. Might drop it.

Well the system may have changed since I applied to college about 2 years ago. But it really isn't that difficult getting into a good college in the UK especially if you live in an area with successful colleges as often high schools have connections with the colleges so students have lower standards to get in then students from further out.

For me personally to get into college it was 5 GCSEs including English/Maths. And this was to one of the best in the UK (top 20/30).
