I would tend to agree with you, but living quality in a lot of other places is good, too. The fact that America has a good quality of life does not make it any better than places like Australia, Canada, or Switzerland to name a few of many.
Pretty much. We are not there yet, but it's a matter of time. I think that the United States is well on its way to an extremely problematic period in its history. When you issue military manuals (see the link I posted) that claim that anyone who goes against mainstream ideologies can be classified as a domestic terrorist, then that's a problem. I don't even have to discuss the real problems in America, like the failing school systems and way too far up Shit's Creek to be saved economy and national debt, right?
They are all great countries too. Wouldn't have any problem living there.
Not as many as you might think. I know quite a few people who are perfectly happy living in their native country, who are these people that you think so desperately want to live in the US?
Considering how many people try and come in from Mexico...
Are you really asking this? You don't think people who live in Africa, Asia, or SA would love to have the freedom that we have here? Hell, even people from first world countries. A lot of people who visit here love it. At least all the foreigners I have talked to.
I feel the US has it's problems, like all countries, but being the the biggest country in the world for years, you tend to get more critcism. Just like when the British and Roman Empires were huge, they all were pretty hated by other countries/empires.
Not comparing the US to them, but just an example.
