for a guy called gandhi youre not very respectful

and im pretty sure nobody got in trouble for insulting muhammed in those days. I remember a hadith where a guy kept insulting him endlessly until Abu Bakr insulted back, and mohammed walked out in disgust

Not to mention when he started preaching, all people basically did was insult him and rocks at him

Completely subjective. It's become acceptable to bag on Christianity because it's the biggest show in town, it has the most adherents worldwide & with anything, anything, that becomes the majority / popular / mainstream, it becomes a target for ridicule.

Before some idjit comes out of the box with some uneducated BS, go back & read the rest of my replies on this subject. I've highlighted the U.S.'s foreign policy flaws, it's procedure as to supporting groups / regimes in the Middle East, & made it clear there's nothing altruistic about it.

But when there's videos, movies, cartoons, comics, etc. with Jesus smoking weed, gunning people down, raping people, yelling expletives, & so much more, I absolutely refuse to ignore the hypocrisy of those expressing outrage & being apologists for a completely irrational & ignorant response by a vocal minority of the Muslim population.

Islam seems to have received some sacred status, even in mainstream media where people are far more hands off than they've ever been with any other religion & it's completely hypocritical, bordering on idiotic. If anyone thinks it's alright to apologize for the actions of the Middle Eastern branch of the Armed Westboro Baptist Church, that's fine but don't try to sell it as something else.

Correct me if I'm wrong but did Muhammad kill poets who criticised him? Most notably Kab Ibn Al-Ashraf. I don't know much about this but I remember hearing about how Muhammad killed these critical poets but I am just a layman...

I did and still pay zakat,I did used to pray 5 times a day and I was the only one in school who'd pray their prayers during recess.I did fast and Ramadan and still fast in Ramadan "only because I live with a muslim family".I studied islam from sheiks and school and most importantly the quran and hadiths.I have the 30th chapter memorized,Although memorizing the quran has nothing to do with understanding the quran.

I don't have to respect islam,Its your religion not mine.

Lots of sources show mohammed had troubles with those who insulted him,See mohammed didn't touch anybody at first when he was first not in power at mecca but after he left to medina the guy raged war on the meccans and claimed mecca as muslim land,Much of the stories of muslims killing people come AFTER mohammed claimed mecca.
