Re: What were you doing Sep 11, 2001?
Must we have this thread every year?
I was at my friend's, and on my way home in his parent's car the radio broadcast news about the attacks. Being the stupid kid that I was (8 years old), my first reaction was a laugh. For whatever reason. The parents lashed at me, rightfully. Wasn't so funny once I got a better idea about what'd happened.

Re: What were you doing Sep 11, 2001?
I was only 7 and didn't go to school or anything. I was out of town and coming home from a day long bus-ride and concerned about Champions League that night. The matches were canceled and I was pissed off and kept seeing this plane attack on the news but didn't care at all. I was only 7, though, so things like that were "above my age". A few years later when I got older, obviously I understood what it was all about. Was indifferent back then and when it's 11 years old, I can't say my feelings have changed although I have a better understanding.

Re: What were you doing Sep 11, 2001?
I was working in my office in France, radio was on so I heard everything live from the first crash til the the collapse of the second tower. I was so shocked that I urgently told all of my work mates about it and soon everyone was following the news too. I went back home and sat the whole evening in front of the full coverage of it numb with this horrible tragedy witnessed by the world on telly. I will never forget that day !

Re: What were you doing Sep 11, 2001?
I was in class in junior high (seventh grade) and I believe I was in study hall or math. I mainly remember my teacher at the time telling the classroom that the school was under lock down and that New York has been attacked. So pretty much for the rest of the school day, we watched the news. When I got home my dad was sent home from his job (due to the attacks his job sent everybody home for about a week). So he was sitting on the couch, watching the news. I remember that day and the next one (or two) afterwords local channels were covering strictly the attacks. It was mind blowing and I was speechless at the time.

When it happened I was at home I remember I was a freshman I was very naive I had no idea what happened. When I got to second period I remember my teacher seem a bit disturbed and told us about it.

Re: What were you doing Sep 11, 2001?
I was 6 years old at the time, so I have no recollection of what I was doing. The only thing I DO remember though, is that, just like everyone else that's around my age, I was pissed off and annoyed that nothing else was on TV. I guess it was good that I was too young to understand what was going on, and the immensity of what had happened, because I surely would've freaked the hell out.

On 9/11, I left New York via GreyHound an hour or two before the Plane Crash. I went on a Road trip to Boston and New York to watch the Jays play.
September 11th this year, I was in the air flying from Dominican Repubic to Toronto

I was 6 and didn't quite understand the ramifications of the attack, I remember a rather somber school day.

Re: What were you doing Sep 11, 2001?
God, I was 11, and you people all make me feel old. I was in 6th grade, our principal came over the intercom to announce the attack on the first tower during 1st period, my Geography class.
