Currently just over a year into my latest serious girlfriend.
I'm 29 and my last serious girlfriend was when I was 23 and that was only 18 months or so.

Three that mattered.
I ended what I had thought was 'the relationship' this summer, which turned out to be more emotionally draining than I'd expected. I didn't want to say goodbye to a great person and it had to be goodbye; there was no way to turn what we had into a friendship but no matter how terrific we both are as individuals (and I am pretty damn terrific, just trust me on that), we're toxic together. I miss being part of a pair but, on the plus side, I'm now free to move to somewhere I'd rather live and do something marginally productive with my life in place of following somebody elses's whims.
I think I'll spend my new-found free time strengthening my bond with my cat. That way, I'll be all prepared for my crazy cat lady future.
