Hate Vegas, but having lived in the state 10 years, guess the draw of Vegas isn't there. It's one of those nice to visit, hell to live kind of places.

I went to Atlantic City this summer. Stayed at the Borgata which is away from the Boardwalk and everything else. So everytime we headed to the Boardwalk area we took a cab and just drove through the ghetto.

Atlantic City is decent for a 1 day getaway but nothing special so I'd agree. I won $200 at the casino (net profit) so I can't complain but yea it's definitely not Vegas.
