Re: Has anything OUTRAGEOUS ever happened at your school?
We had the youngest girl in Britain to ever get pregnant at my school. Then, because of all the press attention she got, it became a bit of a fad around the school for girls to get knocked up. Seriously, there were 4 or 5 girls in my year (aged 12-13) who had to leave the school because they were pregnant. When I was 14, boy in my class (who incidently had the same birthday as me) was allowed to light up a celebratory cigar in a Science Lesson one day because he got a phone call saying that his 13 year old girlfriend had given birth to twins. Pretty fucked up.
It wasn't just underage sex that was rampant at my school. We also did a pretty busy trade in violence. A year 10 kid with Trimethylaminurea (it's a disease that means that basically sweat a lot of the chemicals which you would usually urinate, meaning that you smell really, really, really bad all the time) got assaulted by a kid with a Stanley Knife in the lunch queue. The kid slashed his face a few times and then tried to cut his throat. The kid bled everywhere. It was fucking horrendous to look at. The kid with Trimethylaminurea was actually a pretty weird dude. He used to steal pornographic magazines from his Dad's shop and sell individual pages for 10p each to the 8-10 year olds from the Junior School down the road. He also used to masturbate in the toilets at school (he was caught by one of the caretakers). He lost his temper one day, and kicked a hole in a glass door and slashed the artery in his ankle. He nearly bled to death, apparently (although, that could be a schoolyard exaggeration).
They actually built a police station at my school when I was in my last year there. A huge gypsy site was opened up near my school, and we had quite a few travellers attending my school. They were fucking terrifying, because they just didn't give a shit and would beat the crap out of people in, like, four on one beatdowns. As well as that, we had a group of BNP kids who were just horrible. We had a Jewish teacher at my school and they used to hound her, calling her racist names and shit. Some of them got expelled for being racist but, on my last day of school, we saw her car had been smashed up and set on fire. It was a reallt fucked up way to leave school, watching my teacher crying about her car burning while the police rounded up the skin head kids was just surreal.
I fucking hated school, which I why I made the conscious effort to go back as an adult and work in a school - hopefully so that I could help prevent shit like I experienced from ruining somebody else's childhood.
