Re: What the fuck is wrong with pro-lifers?
Its ironic that a lot of these pro-lifers are pro-death penalty also. The blatant disregard for separation of church and State in this country is getting scary.

Only way I'd condone abortion is if the mother's life would be endangered by giving birth to the child.

I completely respect that viewpoint. The way you put it, it makes perfect sense.
I, on the other hand, am pro-choice, anti-death penalty, and anti-war.
Me and my girlfriend are currently expecting a son in June. At first, she contemplated getting an abortion. Thankfully, I was able to talk her out of it. I wanted us to have the baby. No, we aren't married, no, it isn't the right time, but I still believe that this son was our blessing from God.
I personally am against abortion, but I don't believe I have the right to tell you or anyone else that you can't...as a Christian, I believe Jesus gives everyone free will. Yes, he makes it very clear that "thou shalt not kill", and he also makes the consequences clear, but at the end of the day, the choice is yours. If Jesus gives you the right to choose, what right do I have to deny you that right?

Thank you for talking her out of it.
Although I'm disappointed you are pro-choice, I'm happy that you personally don't condone abortion. It's definitely tough in cases involving rape, however. That's the only situation I'd agree with "pro-choice".

Very dangerous and stupid attitude. I wonder if they realize how painful and potentially fatal such a practice would be...pregnancy is a very dangerous state for women, and in those types of incidences you could potentially die carrying such a fetus to term, even in this day and age of modern medicine.

It's disgusting. It's not even about caring about unborn babies, it's a matter of controlling women, simple as. None of these fuckers will be there to help these kids out when they're ACTUALLY born. This is some serious Handmaid's Tale shit going on. I just don't understand who laws like this are supposed to benefit.

Yeah... that's not contradicting yourself at all.

So let's suppose that an expecting mother is given the news that her child will be born both blind and deaf. That's going to be a shittacular life. You wouldn't agree with her decision to have it aborted?
Let's go even further. What if it would be born with no limbs? Again, you'd 'expect' her to give birth?
I honestly don't believe that guys with views such as yours can have possibly experienced these kinds of scenarios, or else you simply couldn't hold those views.

Re: What the fuck is wrong with pro-lifers?
I will never understand the amount of derp that goes in to being "pro-life" in relation to abortion. It just seems like no thought what so ever has been put into that stance.

It isn't, while you're trying to be sarcastic.
I personally don't believe in abortion for myself, but I don't believe I have the right to tell you that you shouldn't get one, if you so chose. What's contradictary about that?
That's like telling you or anyone that you're wrong for getting a tattoo, just because I don't believe in them.
Being pro-choice simply supports one's right to choose...it doesn't mean that you're totally for abortions. You just believe they have a right to choose what they want to do with their bodies.

You're talking about extreme cases here. I was talking about the fact that it might live in poverty due to the mother not having a good job and/or the mother not wanting to raise it in the first place. Plenty of children have had "shitty" childhoods yet have ended up successful and/or end up having a good life.
And with regards to the child being disabled, no, I don't believe they should be aborted and have their life taken away due to them being disabled. I've seen plenty of disabled people who are happy as hell. It's not like they're miserable.
