If you could visit any time period what would you choose?
I've always wanted to visit the time of Merlin and King Arthur or the those times in the Middle ages. This is a popular choice amoung people I know but for the sake of curiosity when would you choose?

This is a cool thread. I've always been fascinated with everything about the past... I wish I owned a time machine so I could experience life in a different time period! There are so many different era's I would love to explore...
The Victorian times stands out to me particularly. It just seemed like such a beautiful time period. The dress sense and the vehicles and stuff. I also love the look of each decade ranging from the 1920s up to the 1950s for that particular reason also!
The 60s/70s I would have loved to experience also, mainly due to the music scene.

I'd probably go back into the 1980's, particularly because of the music scene. Although I pretty much like every genre of music (aside from country), I mostly listen to rock. The 80's was definitely the peak of rock music, but this recent revival of alternative rock has been good too (Muse, Kings of Leon, Phoenix, The Killers, among others).
I'm also very amused by ancient history, particularly Egyptian, Ancient China and the Roman Empire. I would definitely want to travel back to Rome to get a real hands on experience of what it was like living there.

60's for the times and culture. 80's for Hair Metal. 90's for Nirvana and Wrestling since I was only a little kid then. I don't think I'd like to go back too far in time. The 40's-70's would be a nice time to grow up I suppose.
