A few years back a buddy and I were at a bar and he started talking to this one chick he thought was hot and invited her to sit with us at our table. She seemed normal but I just got these weird vibes from her. I really couldn't figure out what it was about her, but my Spidey Senses were tingling.
My buddy went to get another round for us and she and I were sitting alone. She told me she really like my friend and asked how long we knew each other. I told her 12 years, he's like a little brother to me (which is funny because he's a foot taller and a year older than me.)
I said "I'll be honest with you, you seem nice, but there's..........something about you, isn't there? Something he should know."
She gave me a puzzled look.
"I'm just looking out for my buddy, please be honest with me."
"Promise not to tell him or make a big deal out of it?" She asked me.
"Absolutely."
"I was born a male."
I didn't know what to say at first, I thought she was kidding at first, she definitely looked like a woman, but those puzzling vibes I was getting suddenly made sense. "Thanks, I appreciate your honesty."
She asked if it was obvious to me, she suspected the whole time I knew.
"Physically, no, you are quite convincing, but I guess I kind of sensed it."
"You aren't going to tell him, are you?"
"Your little secret? No. However, as I said he's like a little brother to me and I know it won't end well if he finds out the hard way. I will tell him that I don't think you are right for him. If he doesn't listen to me, have at it."
She thanked me for the respect I showed her and agreed to what I said. I approached my friend, who was still waiting to get our drinks. "Dude, I gotta be real with you man, I don't think that chick is right for you." He asked why. "Man you know me, right? Please just trust me on this one."
He wouldn't listen. When we got back to the table she looked at me like "well?" I just shrugged. After a few hours ofthe 3 of us talking and drinking, it was time to leave. As they hugged, he asked for her number and she whispered something in his ear and left. My bud had this puzzled look on his face. When we got to the car I asked him what she said. "She said to trust my friend, he's a good man. What the fuck does that mean?"
"It means that I was right about her not being right for you. You really should listen to me."
He didn't say anything after that, he was pretty pissed off for a week about it until one of our friends had us both over and I finally told him she was a he. His face turned red from embarrassment. We agreed to never speak of her again.
