Not sure where to post this so I posted here.

I've only been to one wrestling show which was a WWE house show. Whenever I tried to take any pictures with my iPhone the wrestler would always appear as white beam of light. So I got no photos :(

Can someone explain why that happened and how to fix it?

I'm looking to purchase a cheaper beginner camera to take on hikes and such, so if I could find one that I could take pics at my next WWE event too that would be great. Any ideas?

No I angrily deleted the pics as soon as I saw they were crap.

Your camera is confused because the arena is dark but the ring lights are super bright.
It is automatically switching 'gears' non-stop between the two light sources and is confused.
Wrestling shows are extremely difficult to shoot photos in from the stands unless you're skilled with operating a camera manually or have an advanced enough camera to 'figure out' the crazy lighting. You will need to learn this skill (manual operation) to get the photos you want, or possibly your iPhone camera has an automatic setting that takes into account an arena, but again, wrestling shows aren't your typical arena shows because of how they are lit.

There's a reason why WWE hires professional photographers and has them situated ringside, under those lights and close to the action.

Good luck. (Y)
Thanks a lot for that post, repped. Do you happen to know how to explain doing the "manual operation"? Or is there an official name for this problem with the lights that I can google?

Shoot me if i'm wrong but i'm sure it's due to the aperture of the camera on your phone allowing too much light to travel throug the lens, try to cup the camera with one hand without getting your hand in the camera to try to block out some of the lighting..it may give you better pictures as it has worked for me at Wrestlemania 32

Also make sure the camera lens is free from smug, my Galaxy S4 was notorious for making ghost pics until I realized the lens was filthy. Keep a microfiber cloth on hand to wipe the lens before you start shooting with your iPhone.

You will be amazed at how much better the photos come out when you do this.
