Tired of being me.

I was just thinking how God has given me purpose now in my life. I really was starting to hate myself and everything I was becoming. Then I remembered my life, it's not about me. I don't care about all that anymore. It's about God so I don't have to worry. God has a purpose and plan for me. I was seriously getting tired of life. I don't want to be me anymore. I pour myself out and let you fill me up God and give me a purpose. I know that you will provide for me everything that I need if I give it all to you. I am yours God. I love you. I'm sorry if I ever hurt you. Amen.

Not that I don't care about myself but life is much bigger then that to just think about yourself. I realize my problems are minuscule in the grand scheme of things. Everyones got problems and I'm no different. I can't spend my whole life worrying about myself because I'm just wasting my time. I want to serve a greater purpose.

Ahhh purpose. Being an agnostic myself it's hard to really seem important in the grand scheme of things but I personally realized that planet earth matters. Maybe the universe won't be around forever, but what we do as a society is important during our time. I live for myself, my friends and my family, but hopefully you attain sustained inner peace OP.

There's more than 1 version of the Holy book & you definitely seek God as a Christian so to get closer spiritually to your Father, research as many Holy Bible formats as you can because it will show you the human influence made upon the Holy Book over the many Generations and how many find a niche that suits them whether its Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormon, Islam, Protestant, Evangelical etc etc.
Finding what suits you rather than what your religious denomination reflects is a difference between knowing how you choose to follow God.

Well this thread was interesting.

Certainly tired of being me. Don't really believe in any great big plan for me because I believe in free will and the freedom of choice. Unfortunately, though, as of late, it's become evident to me that I will not thrive as much in life as I wanted to. I'm just not good enough. And no amount of prayer or anything is going to change that.

I find it funny people take this as an attack. Any sort of religious belief against what others believe they take it as an attack and get offended. It's not like I'm trying to force people to believe in God. Just wanted to share something I'm going through I am sorry you feel that way. Not everyone believes in the same thing. Who are you to judge and look down on Christians just because you don't believe in the same ideals. Just take it with a grain of salt and move on. Then I got guys trying to say that I'm saying I'm better then them. I never said I was better then anyone. You guys don't truly know how low I feel about myself for you to assume that I'm trying to look better. I'm not in competition with anyone I'm just trying to do what I got to do to be happy. Live your life and don't judge others who don't live the same way as you do. No need for condescending anti religion comments.

If religion provides you with emotional support at a low point in your life, then I'm happy for you. However, my main issue is I'd rather point you in the right direction to cure you of your problems (e.g. counselling, therapy, medication, GP appointments etc.), instead of allowing a religious belief to ignore them by latching on to your insecurities.

A lot of the people running their mouth about "needing no God" eventually turn to religion as the fire of their youth runs out.

There's a reason why there are "atheist communities" nowadays, so that the people who leave religion can still feel like they belong to something. Ultimately the result is the same, you believe in a set of ideals and associate yourself with a certain group who share similar views.

I find this to be strange, tbh. I'm not religious nor an atheist. I'm just sorta there. I never have and doubt I ever will feel the urge to belong to any one group over religion or lack thereof because my spiritual beliefs are kinda general and just there without any set guidelines or rituals.

I don't knock atheists or religious folk as long as they're not cockmunches, but I find it to be a weird phenomenon.

Can I request a mod close this thread please as it is going nowhere. I should've know better then to right something spiritual. All the atheist crawl out the wood works with there pitch forks and torches. I said what I had to say. This thread serves no further purpose. Atheists you need to understand and accept a lot of people believe in God. They won't stop because a couple of you guys get butt hurt over it. I rather just not let it go any further. @Brock can you do the honors.
