So imagine if you had a brother who couldn't feel any pain or is somehow dis able gets murdered by me...and then would you go to the police and say leave me and don't punish me since my brother couldn't feel any pain?
No, you wouldn't. Insteed you would ask for more punishment for me since your brother was a total inocent man.
Been hearing this especially with Earth Day having passed, the latest trend now is that going vegan will save the planet. However, the truth is that there have been great innovations and process in the development of farming and protecting the environment over the years.
All I can say is that the only thing I ever agreed about with PETA is drink beer instead of milk. So, I compromise and have a beer with my cheeseburger.

vegans only exist b/c they aint ate my grandma's homemade fried chicken with buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy. if they eat that, they aint never be vegan again.
Bacon and steak are too nice for me to give a shit about how the animals are treated. If you don't wanna eat it, then fine, but don't look at me cross when I'm chowing down on a steak and you're munching a salad. I just hate it when people try to force me to adopt their life choices.
Whatever point it is you are making there is completely negated by the fact that whatever role diet had to play in our evolution has little to no resonance to how we live now. So it is a completely pointless argument. It's like saying that we should go back to living in caves rather than accepting our lovely, warm houses. The past is generally a tool to be learnt from, not imitated.
Vegans will point to all the animal abuse done in factory farming as one of the main reasons we shouldn't eat meat. I don't disagree with them on that front, because there is a lot of ethical problems with how our cattle, pigs, chickens, etc are treated on these farms. Basically, they are looked upon as a product rather than a living being, which is pretty sad.
Vegans also state that humans are able to live without meat, and while this is true, we are naturally omnivores, and adopting a vegan diet can be very difficult to do for many.
I'm personally not a vegan by any stretch, but most of the time I don't mind them. The only ones that bother me are the loudmouths that go around with this superiority complex, stating that everybody should go vegan. They are usually the same ones which always demand they are accommodated for whenever they eat out. But these are just a minority
Most vegans I met are just like everybody else, and decided to go that route as a life choice, and respect the difficulties that come with it.
Animals fucking hunt and kill other animals. Unless a vegan is going to walk up to a lion and accuse it of being a murderer when it kills a gazelle, they better not give me any shit about enjoying a steak.
Because the amount of pesticides in their diet causes retardation. They can't take the life of an animal, but no problem taking the life of a plant with just as much sentience.
I respect a meat eater who has a clear conscience about what they consume, they have a right to do as they please and it's nobody else's business to try and force their opinion onto them.
What does annoy me is all the bullshit defence tactics like "we were built to eat meat", "humans can't live without meat", "We are highest on the food chain" and this crap I'm reading in this thread where users are actually comparing ourselves to animals as if we've all been through the same periods of civilisation and enlightenment. "Animals do it to each other so why can't we do it to animals" - seriously that's your argument, you might as well say that we should be free to shit in our pants because babies and toddlers do the same.
Read a book. Watch a documentary. Check the facts. Don't come up with antiquated theories and extreme analogies just because it makes you feel better about your life choices.
People ARE free to shit in their pants actually, no law against that.
And saying read a book, watch a documentary is like saying I don't actually have any facts to back up my argument or else I would actually post them instead of telling you to look elsewhere.
We are going find out one day that plants feel pain and because they are eaten raw or pulled out of the ground they are being eating alive while plant screaming or slowly dieing due to lack of nutrition with tons of other plants while packed into refrigeration units
At least my steak has been dead awhile before I buy it
Because we consume dead animals. Animals get butchered and put into a factory then served in stores and we continue to buy and eat them. I'm going Vegan soon
My opinion is that dead animals are tasty when cooked :shrug
