I don't feel bad about it because I never kill them. I obviously did as a child but I see no reason to kill something for doing what its evolved to do. I let wasps out of the window instead of killing them and simply pick spiders up and put them outside.
Not really. Me and my brothers used to lure bees to our porch with jelly and honey and then whip loads of them to death with leather belts. SMACK! Because theres nothing better for country ass children to do. I mean, we killed ALOT of bees. Easily more than 1,000 on just our little porch over the course of a summer.
Now, today, when I see an ant walking along outside, minding it's own business, I'll usually let it walk on. Just out of general respect for life. But no, no problem whatsoever with getting rid of an annoying fly or whatever else. Spiders too. A daddy long leg bit me in my sleep one summer and for the first 3 weeks of that school year I had a huge ugly welt underneath my chin. I wore gauze the whol time to cover it up because it was that gross. Like a thick, hard boil. I eventually found the web/spider in my box spring.
