As a Congressman, I'm sure he has much more information on something like this than the American people do. Not saying it's true, but I'd take it more seriously coming from him than someone like Alex Jones.

With that said, it isn't like that is a far-fetched conspiracy theory compared to the other hundreds of conspiracies out there.

Re: American Politics

Most of the wars in US have nothing to do with defending our country. I dot care how far back you go.

Re: American Politics

The last war that had to do with defending our country was World War II. Kind of sad considering how many wars the United States has been in since.

Re: American Politics

the spanish war.

the only arguable ones were ww1 and ww2

WW2 was the first point were troops and armies were actually built up instead of thinned out after the war. WW1, franco-prussian, napoleonic, spanish american. troops were depleted after the wars, unless they were being sent abroad for the empire. and even then, the british and germans maintained small professional forces that could be trained in the event of a war

america broke the mold post WW2 by actually increasing the size of their forces and military spending after the war

Re: American Politics

I like how quickly this thread degenerated into zionist conspiracy theories.

I am not sure how anyone can think Ron Paul is the savior of America. He wants to deregulate everything. I respect his character and his positions on personal liberties and foreign affairs, but the "evil corporations" should love this guy. If it were up to him he'd turn the American corporate environment into the Wild West. I am not sure how that would benefit anyone BUT the big corporations. It certainly wouldn't benefit consumers, workers or the environment, unless you look back fondly on the gilded age and wish we could go back to a time when you didn't know if your ground beef had someone's thumb in it or not.
