Re: So, let me get this straight...

I haven't seen many people complaining about Punk holding the belt. I see more complain about how boring they think it is. I, for one hated Punk's invincible Cena-like buildups, never wanted him as champ, and still don't.

On the contrary, I think this "IWC" that people like to refer to the collective as, are happier and more content with these indy guys hogging the title matches and/or belts... It may not seem it or show it, but last I was here in full, people were a lot more aggressive and demanding. I'm happier too since it shuts them up somewhat.

Consequences...

I hope they make a big fucking deal of it when hey put someone over Punk for the WWE title.

Maybe a double turn with Bryan, to then lose it to Cena, then to The Rock, oh great, he's still gonna be around (returning again).

I think he's unbelievably boring right now and a shell of his former self but I would bang the hell out of him. Only once or twice, though.

As I been saying all along, face CM Punk is not a good champion. IMO, he's the perfect heel, as he plays more mindgames and really gets to his opponents. This CM Punk is just so happy, go lucky like every other babyface people on here hate.
Thing is, he's not - he's retained some of his rebel attitude. I agree that Punk is the perfect heel, but we just don't live in a perfect world. Punk is far too popular to be a heel now. He has to stay face out of nessecity, as he's too big an asset, and now makes too much money for the company to turn heel. I'm sure Punk himself would prefer to be a heel, but Punk knows what is good for business, and he knows a heel turn is simply not viable, so in some ways, Punk is a victim of his own popularity. There's a point of popularity and value that people reach when it's just not wise to mess with their character... 'Taker, Austin, Rock, HBK, HHH, Cena, Rey, Orton, and now Punk. You can't turn any of these heel - it's not an option. Bryan can stay heel, because he isn't yet popular enough to nessecitate a face turn. It's the same with Sheamus, his character is not so far gone that he couldn't be turned heel - despite what WWE wants to believe.

Re: So, let me get this straight...

People misunderstood the whole "shoot" angle because the only reason why he was being a rebel was because he was leaving and had nothing to lose. Once he was re-signed kayfabe wise, that killed the momentum and the character isn't allowed to shoot as much. The problem with the die hard super Punk marks is that they want him to be bigger than John Cena. If you want him closing the shows then he has to do it as a heel. He's not John Cena, he can't be put into John Cena's role. He's too cookie cutter as a babyface, and cheering him after the shoot was the worse thing to do to that character, he's such a natural heel, but he would make a good heel champion. As a face, he doesn't stand out.
