Re: Liverpool & Stoke Fans

I enjoy Stoke's fans. They make a great atmosphere.

I've turned the last 8 people I've tried into soccer fans on the Stoke 3-1 Arsenal game alone. Largely because of the fan atmosphere.

Re: Liverpool & Stoke Fans

hahaha oh no getting abuse from a Sunderlona supporter...

Every club has dickhead supporters its a part of football. Personally I think Stoke are the best fans in the world (biased opinion I know) but I even had Man city fans saying that after the final.

I cannot stand United supporters, gloryhunters or real mancs they are fucking despicable
Sunderland have the most delusional set of fans, for some reason they all think they are a massive club.

Re: Liverpool & Stoke Fans

Funny that, when we average near enough 40,000 supporters a week isn't it?

Stoke don't seem to mind us anyway, half your team was signed from us.

As for delusional, can anyone not agree that it's Newcastle? Not even biased here, Pardew came out last week and said they should be qualifying for Europe next year...

Oh, so that's why you only show up when you're winning. Fuck all away support too. Remember when you played Citeh and there was some lad with a 'Keep the Faith' banner and he fucked off home after you went 3 or 4 down with 20 minutes to go.

Show up when we're winning? You mean the 5 or so extra thousand fairweather fans that show up? Any team has those, and its rich coming from an Arsenal fan, when at least a quarter of your fans'll be glory hunters.
And as for at the Citeh game, eh I don't blame people who leave when we're 4-0 down, clearly Newcastle proved why they should'nt against you, but if its a Sunday away game go for it. Personally I always stay, even at the Everton 7-1 game, that sucked.

You could say a quarter of our fans are gloryhunters to any team who are a big club.

Fact is, no teams draw a near full capacity in the Carling Cup like us.

Re: Liverpool & Stoke Fans

Doesn't change the point I made though, I'd like to see Arsenal pull in crowds like we do if you were as good as we were. I can depressingly say with utmost confidence that we have no glory supporters whatsoever. A few Ghana fans maybe, but thats about it

And woo, you pull in fans for the one cup competition a year where your youngsters get to show off their skills and ultimately not win the trophy, even I wanted your lot to beat Birmingham...

Arsenal have a very large fanbase, it's hard to see their attendances not pulling more than Sunderland.

And that's the point I'm making. We draw near capacity crowds to see our youngsters whilst mostly everyone else is getting shit crowds for cup games.

Re: Liverpool & Stoke Fans

You have a large fanbase since you're based in the capital of England and had major success in the late 90's/early 2000's and that's only the most recent time you've had success, not to mention having a vastly superior stadium and half our city's getting fucked over by the governments cuts and can't afford to go watch us, hence Quinny's rant on the pub viewers this year.

And we only get shit cup game crowds because nobody can be arsed to go watch our second team play the likes of huddersfield at full ticket price. We should just do what we did vs your lot years ago and charge 2 quid for adults and 1 quid for kids. 47,000 on a wednesday night. That was my first time seeing RvP too, ripped us to shreds...
