You smack the fuck out of balls and can bowl balls really fast. Is that easy enough for you to understand?

I guess the point is to have a discussion about cricket. lol

I do like the word, "wicket" though. And their pitcher is called a bowler. I wonder if they call the sport of bowling, "soccer".
Well "very exciting game to play" would be a poor explanation. There needs to be a reason why it's exciting despite it being subjective.

I love how no one's answered your question, DIAMOND DALLAS TRASH.

Great rant, "mate".

I was serious before when i said i can't explain it (and my use of american sports wasn't bashing them either). You grow up with a sport, you play it for hours on end you invariably love it.

That's a great explanation for why the game is great to PLAY not WATCH.

A game that takes 6 hours for multiple days just doesn't seem that well suited for a spectator sport.

Re: what makes cricket a good spectator sport

I find it enjoyable because you always have something going on, there's strategy involved that requires thinking (certain batsmen have certain weaknesses, plus your bowlers have strengths, both of which you have to play to + you also have to worry about whether you should be trying to restrict runs or take wickets if you're the fielding team and making runs/not losing wickets if you're the batting team) and (most of the time) it's competitive. There's always a chance that the batsman could make runs or that the bowler could take a wicket.

Plus when you go, it's just good fun. Probably the most enjoyable sport to be apart of the crowd (though I would like to go to an English soccer game).
