>Let The Recruiting Begin!<

As soon as CM Punk retained his World Heavyweight Championship at No Mercy last weekend he knew he would be going on to the Survivor Series to lead a team against one put together by John Cena, and last night on Smackdown both teams certainly started to take shape.

The show started off with the World Champion’s rookie, Alberto Del Rio-Ramirez introducing his mentor, and it ended with the Mexican challenging Cena to a match, only after he & Edge were announced as members of Team Punk. Edge however made it clear to Punk that as much as he wants Cena off of Smackdown due to his dislike for the former Raw superstar, he wants the title shot promised to Cena at Night of Champions if Cena leads his team to victory. If Edge can help Punk’s team to victory over Cena’s it would free up a shot at Punk’s world title. How is that going to affect the dynamics of Punk’s team and the hugely important contest at Survivor Series?

As it came down to the main event, Del Rio-Ramirez surprised many by putting up a good fight against Cena and giving him some difficult moments. Ultimately it was Cena that came through, only to fall victim afterwards to a spear by Edge. We then saw Matt Sydal attempt to save the day for Cena having been asked earlier in the night by him to be a part of his team next month. However the King of the Ring couldn’t overcome the numbers game, and then Christian shocked everyone by storming the ring, taking Edge out, then both Punk and his rookie, Del Rio-Ramirez before offering Cena his services. Cena was only too happy to oblige, and now both captains have two men on their respective teams.

It looks like the fight between Punk & Cena has started already. It sure is going to be an exciting time heading in to Survivor Series.!

We all heard The Miz say on Raw Monday night that he had something to say on Smackdown to Shawn Michaels, and boy did he leave his mark on The Heartbreak Kid last night.

Mr. Hollywood didn’t just come to Smackdown, he left Michaels on his back and challenged him to an elimination match at the Survivor Series, a challenge which Michaels was left with no choice but to accept having being jumped by The Miz & Heath Slater during his No Mercy rematch with Jack Swagger. As The Heartbreak Kid lay in front of him, The Miz announced that along with his rookie, Slater, The All-American American will also be part of his team which he described as awesome.

We’ll only find out at Survivor Series if The Miz’s team is awesome, and after being blindsided last night, you can sure as hell bet that Michaels will be all out for revenge and put Mr. Hollywood and his big mouth to the test.
