Re: EWR/TEW Discussion Thread

Here we go Royal Rumble results:

In the opening match Long Island Shore Boys defeated The Team of the future Teddy Hart and Sean Johnathan (known before as Jack Evans) to retain the WWE tag team titles.

Jack Swagger defeated Evan Bourne.

After Bourne missed Air Bourne and Swagger capitalized with a Gut Wrench for win the match.

Heath Slater the came out to challenge The Undertaker yet again to a match at Wrestlemania XXVIII. Undertaker took a long time to come out, building the suspense while Slater kept challenging him. It got to the point where Slater said if Taker wouldn't come to him, he would come to Taker. He never got to chance because when he got to the top ramp it caught on fire. Slater backed down the ramp and back into the ring running right into The Deadman who gave Slater a tombstone and accepted his challenge at Wrestlemania.

CM Punk defeated Samoa Joe in an I Quit match.

Joe never uttered the words I Quit but was knocked out cold due to a sick bump which saw Punk's Personal Protection Policy Mason Ryan powerbombed Joe from the stage through a table 15 feet below. Joe smacked the back of his head off the ground and was taken out via EMT's. He was injured for 3 months.

Randy Orton defeated Ted DiBiase with an RKO.

The mind games seemed to have paid off for Randy Orton. Even though Brodus Clay tried to interfere after a ref bump, all he got out of it was an RKO as well. This did not sit well with DiBiase as he berated Clay after the match and told him he wouldn't be getting paid tonight.

Next up was the contract signing between John Cena and The Rock. The Raw GM(via Michael Cole) read the rules to their upcoming Wrestlemania match. There would be no rules. Anything goes, pinfalls count anywhere in the arena and there would be a special guest referee, The Raw GM, who would reveal themselves 2 weeks before Wrestlemania in the return of Saturday Night's Main Event!

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston retained his title against The Miz and Sheamus

A match of the year candidate for sure, as these 3 put on a clinic with near fall after near fall, Towers of Dooms, 3 ref bumps, use of the title, a broken barricade, and Kofi putting Sheamus and The Miz through the announce tables with a Boom Drop to each of them from the top rope. In the end Sheamus succumbed to Trouble in Paradise as Kofi proved that he was not a fluke champion, but will he have enough in him at Elimination chamber when he defends the title against 5 other men in an Elimination Chamber match?

Christian defeated William Regal to capture his 2nd World Title

In what was a complete opposite of the previous match these 2 men went out there and put on an old school wrestling match. The fans where standing on their feet as these two competed in what many online sites are saying is the "Modern Day Hart/Hennig Summerslam '91". in the end Christian hit the Killswitch to pick up the win.

Chris Masters defeated 29 others last eliminating Triple H to earn a title shot at Wrestlemania XXVIII

The final four this year saw 3 of WWE's hopefuls for the future Masters, Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler and one of the biggest stars in the WWE who is just about ready to retire, Triple H fight for the right to get a title shot at Mania. Cody Rhodes was the first man in, Masters entered at number 6, Ziggler was number 13 and Triple H entered at number 27. Triple H eliminated both Ziggler and Rhodes before turning back to Masters and pointing at the Wrestlemania sign and could be heard asking Masters if he was ready, Masters answered with a wicked nod before they came to blows. The action was back in forth which ended when Masters had Triple H in the Masterlock. Triple H toppled backwards with Masters who fell over the top rope bringing Triple H down with him. Masters was able to hold on to the top rope while Triple H fell to the floor, Masters overcome with emotion fell just seconds after the bell and laid there until Triple H picked him up brought him into the ring raised his hand and left while Masters played to the crowd as the rumble closed out.

Next up is Elimination Chamber which I will be posting a predictions for tomorrow night.

Predictions for Ruck_Fules show:

WrestleMania XXVII

WWE Championship
The Miz (c) vs. John Morrison vs. David Hart Smith
David Hart Smith did the unthinkable when he won the number one contender match, after qualifying earlier that night. But after the next night on RAW, John Morrison defeated The Miz in the ring. After hearing the pleas from Morrison, the RAW GM inserted him into the match.

Reason: I'm not really a fan of DH or Morrison. Honestly Morrison doesn't deserve to win when all he's done is pin The Miz, DH has a plausable chance as he's coming in with a lot of momentum winning a tournament, but I don't think the right thing to do at Mania is give somebody who you said did the unthinkable. Make him the underdog for a while, build up more interest for him and then have him defeat The Miz.

World Championship
Edge (c) vs. Christian
Christian eliminated Triple H, John Cena, and Chris Jericho to win the Royal Rumble and gain the main event spot in the WrestleMania Main Event. As Edge threw a celebration party for his friend Christian, only to be told that Christian is gunning for Edge!

Reason: He won the Rumble, please don't be like WWE and have him lose at the biggest show.

WrestleMania Streak
The Undertaker vs. John Cena
Everybody knew it would happen eventually and it is now. The Past faces the Future as The Undertaker stalked John Cena, including helping John Cena defeat the Miz by DQ on RAW twice. Finally John Cena answered the call from the Deadman, at WrestleMania.

Reason: Taker should never lose at Mania, ever.

The Final Showdown
Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton
Chris Jericho returned at the Royal Rumble and nearly won it. For weeks to follow, Jericho seemed to be mentoring the entire Hart Dynasty, by being a leader to help them, along with their Uncle Bret. For some reason, this struck Randy Orton wrong. Orton gave words of wisdom towards the Hart Dynasty to avoid Jericho, hoping to save them from a fate similar to him and Evolution.

Reason: It's a tough one to call, but I can see the Hart Dynasty, turning and helping Jericho. Maybe not all of them but hopefully Kidd does.

WWE United States Championship
Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Samoa Joe
Daniel Bryan has defeated everybody since winning the belt, but Samoa Joe. Joe has defeated Bryan multiple times, and finally Bryan must put the belt on the line!

Reasoning: Joe's gonna kill him.

Loser Is Fired!
Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler
Rey Mysterio and Dolph Ziggler have both showed their distaste for each other. It hit a new high when Mysterio accidently 619 Vickie Guerrero, when Ziggler pulled her in the way. To show his love for his woman, Ziggler has put his career on the line, as long as Mysterio does also!

Reason: I see Rey retiring in your game and nothing is bigger in the WWE right now then having a star go out at Mania.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Tyson Kidd (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. James Storm vs. Ted DiBiase
The future of the business collides as four of the brightest stars in the business look to put on a show. After Tyson Kidd won the title, Rollins and Storms has both help a pinfall on him, but only to the help of DiBiase. During a number one contender match, DiBiase bought the win from Rollins and Storms. After the match, RAW GM added the other two to the match, making life difficult for Ted DiBiase.

Reasoning: If I'm right about Kidd helping Jericho then what better way to do the mentor storyline with Jericho trying to help Kidd gain back the title? And I chose Storm just because the guy is a God.

WWE Tag Team Championships
The Rhode Brothers (c) vs. Lizmark Jr & Kane
Goldust shocked the world when he stood in the ring and cleaned the face paint off and revealed his true identity. That Fiday on SmackDown, brother Cody called him up to win the Tag Team Championships. As life was getting good, it turned ugly when Kane and his new protege Lizmark Jr set their eyes on the championships.

Reason: Cody is awesome, any version of Dustin Rhodes/Runnels/Seven/Goldust/Anything else is awesome, and Kane doesn't need the titles anymore.
