WWE SmackDown! Preview for 6/5/03

The superstars of SmackDown! roll into Anaheim; California this week

The main talking points of last week's show centered around the chase for the WWE Championship and it's holder Brock Lesnar as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, The Big Show and of course The Undertaker were all well and truly after the "Next Big Things" gold, but by the end of the show, it was The Big Show who stood tall over Austin, Angle and Lesnar. With Show making such a huge statement last week, what will happen tonight as Austin and Angle will surely look to right the wrongs? And you can expect Brock Lesnar will be chomping at the bit to get his hands on both Angle and Show.

The Undertaker was absent from the ending equation thanks to a brutal assault from The Big Show and mainly A-Train. A-Train scored a huge win over The Undertaker thanks to Big Show's interference, and the two then proceeded to beat Taker to a bloody pulp with a steel chair before Brock Lesnar made the save. "Big Evil" was taken to a medical facility and treated for a cracked rib aswell as internal bleeding. Early mail has it that The Undertaker won't make this week's edition of SmackDown! How is The A-Train going to factor into the title scene next?

Last week also saw the return of Sable as she partnered up with Billy Kidman to defeat Jamie Noble and Nidia in mixed tag action. Nidia has challenged Sable to a one on one match to prove last week was a one off and that she is the most dominant diva on SmackDown!

Also confirmed for this edition of SmackDown! is the return of the Bar Room Brawl as The APA will take on Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas of Team Angle. Should The APA win, they will get a rematch with Team Angle for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Can Team Angle pull off what would be considered a huge upset, or will The APA get the win?

Mike Awesome attempted to make a mark on Chris Benoit by attacking him after "The Rabid Wolverine" defeated Kanyon in singles action, only to be thwarted by Rhyno. Rhyno and Awesome and scheduled to meet one on one tonight.

Also, will we get an update on the chaotic Cruiserweight title scene? John Cena will be in action, and speaking of Kanyon, the re-emergence is sure to continue of the self proclaimed "MVP" of SmackDown!
