Re: WWE: The Evolution Of Greed
Would just like to say thanks heaps for the predicts so far. Makes for very interesting reading. To those who I owe feedback/predictions to (should know who you are tbh) it will get done by Monday night at the latest imo. Ok maybe Tuesday.
But yeah, for now, spoiler alert!!!
~WWE No Way Out News, Notes and Spoilers~
No Way Out is just 3 hours away, and reports are coming out that tonight will go a long way to shaping the Smackdown half of Wrestlemania XXIII, with several storylines either advancing or beginning tonight.
The first note of interest is that the ENTIRE Raw roster is in attendance tonight. This is particularly interesting due to the words of Teddy Long on last Friday night's Smackdown with regards to Edge, in that with Edge still not having signed a Smackdown contract, 'The Rated-R Superstar' was banned from the arena tonight. Plans are reportedly in place for several Raw superstars to play a part in tonight's proceedings. The apparent reason for every Raw Superstar being in attendance is to ward of blatant spoilers, although one can't help but notice that Ric Flair is backstage tonight, with rumours racing that his phone call to Batista on last Monday's Raw playing a big part in the World Heavyweight Championship match. Speaking of this match, it appears there is little to no chance of Mr. Kennedy winning tonight, with the plan still very much set for Batista and Edge in one match and Flair and Kennedy in the other. Edge is also in the building tonight, suggesting that he will also play a part in tonight's proceedings.
While Vince McMahon himself hasn't been too keen on pushing Bryan Danielson to the top of the cruiserweight division, cruiserweight road agent Dean Malenko has been campaigning for weeks now for Danielson to win the title in his first match in the WWE. The original plan called for Helms to retain the title in a cheap fashion, leading to a four way at Wrestlemania between Helms, Danielson, Chavo Guerrero and Shannon Moore. However the plan could be set to change to a Danielson victory tonight, leading to a one on one match with Helms at Wrestlemania.
The outcomes of the United States Championship and Fatal Four Way Match are apparently linked together, with the tucome of one likely to give the outcome of the other. The two matches being considered are Benoit retaining and defending at Wrestlemania against MVP, or Finlay winning and going on to face Hardy. A late suggestion of a Benoit/Hardy matchup has been put forward, and apparently has several people in agreement. A brief backstage moment between the two on tonight's show could lead to their confrontation at 'Mania, although MVP definitely has his supporters backstage, especially in Smackdown writer Michael Hayes.
The Undertaker's Wrestlemania opponent will DEFINITELY be revealed tonight. One name put forward was that of Finlay, and if he is defeated tonight 'The Belfast Brawler' could be set for a showdown with 'The Deadman'. However, several other names are still very much in contention, including Bobby Lashley, a heel turn for Chris Benoit that sees him get involved, to even JBL stepping out from behind the announce desk to challenger Undertaker. With Tazz back behind the Smackdown announce desk, JBL could be moved back into an active wrestling role. Either way, fans will leave No Way Out in no doubt as to who Undertaker will be facing at Wrestlemania XXIII.
And in perhaps the most bizzare rumour of the evening, we've heard reports that a custom made casket has been made for tonight's Casket Match between Undertaker and Booker T. The lid of the casket has been made with the same type of wood as used in the tables that Superstars are regularly driven through. Although it doesn't mean much, expect a big spot with the casket lid to take place, perhaps even The Undertaker chokeslamming Booker T (or his Wrestlemania opponent) through the casket for a big time moment.
