Re: Being The Booker
Hard to believe this thread began seven years ago yesterday
God knows how long this 'return' will last. I had a lot of Raw already written before my self imposed exile, so it shouldnt take long to finish it off. As for after that? Could be another long wait.
Now ... how do you do this thing again? Ah, preview.
Monday Night Raw Preview
This week, Raw emanates from Salt Lake City, with the fans in attendance in for a real treat, courtesy of Raw General Manager, Eric Bischoff.
Having been given the night off last week by new WWE Commissioner, Jesse 'The Body' Ventura, Bischoff was ordered to come up with a 'suitable' main event for this weeks Raw, and Bischoff certainly didnt disappoint. With a little under three weeks until Vengeance, The GM has given the two men set to face off for the World Championship a chance to put the other through their paces as 'Pick Your Poison' makes a return. The Number One Contender, Mister Kennedy will face an opponent chosen by the World Heavyweight Champion Christian, and vice versa. Which Raw superstars will be chosen to test Kennedy and Christian respectively?
While Mister Kennedy challenging Christian for the World Heavyweight Title will be THE main event at Vengeance, Eric Bischoff has been busy putting together a further TWO main event matches for Raws upcoming Pay Per View; Kurt Angle and John Cena will settle their issues once and for all in their rubber match, whilst Shawn Michaels will test his long running tormentor, 'Mister Money in the Bank' Umaga. Will there be any further developments in these long running sagas this week on Raw??
Elsewhere, The King of the Ring tournament will continue, as the first round of matches near their close. This week, Matt Hardy takes on Tyson Tomko, and the Straight Edge / MNM battles continue, as Greg Helms tackles Joey Mercury for a place in the Sweet Sixteen stage. Which two men will move one step closer to wrestling royalty?
Ever since the incredible revelations of Beth Phoenix and Melina, the Womens Champion, formerly known as Alexis Laree, now known to be Mickie James has been MIA. According to well placed sources close to Eric Bischoff, the General Manager has been unable to contact the champion, and no one knows of her current whereabouts. Rumours are now abound that this week on Raw, Mickie James will be either stripped of her championship, or put on notice. Regardless, a fatal four way has been signed, tentatively as a #1 Contenders Match - but could potentially be a match to crown a new champion. Victoria, Jillian Hall, Katie Lea and the wicked witch herself, Melina will compete. Will a new champion be crowned this week on Raw??
Also this week, Rhyno, after a long absence, returns to action. Two weeks ago, The Man Beast made a shocking return, Goring Rey Mysterio through a table - making a huge statement of intent. Last week, suspiciously, Rey Mysterio was found having been attacked again, this time by an unknown assailant. Was Rhyno to blame for this attack too?? Rey Mysterio will NOT be in Salt Lake City this week due to that attack, but Rhyno certainly will be.
It promises to be an enthralling edition of Monday Night Raw, with so many unanswered questions set to be resolved ... dont miss it.
I'll hopefully post the show by Tuesday night. No promises though
