30 Man Royal Rumble Match:
Winner has automatic title shot at EITHER brand’s Champion at Wrestlemania XXIII:
Entrants in Alphabetical order:

Bobby Lashley, Brian Kendrick, Carlito, Charlie Haas, Chavo Guerrero, Chris Masters, CM Punk, Edge, Gregory Helms, Joey Mercury, Johnny Nitro, Kane, King Booker, Lance Cade, Matt Hardy, Mr. Kennedy, Montel Vontavious Porter, Paul London, Randy Orton, Ric Flair, Sabu, Shawn Michaels, Shelton Benjamin, The Miz, The Sandman, The Undertaker, Tommy Dreamer, Trevor Murdoch, Triple H, Umaga

For the Twentieth straight year, 30 men will enter... 29 will leave disappointed... but for 1 man, their destiny will be fulfilled as they earn their chance to headline Wrestlemania XXIII! Two men shall enter, and every two minutes thereafter another man will enter the frey until all 30 men have entered the match. As it has been tradition for 20 years now, eliminations can only take place when a superstar is thrown over the top rope, with both feet touching the floor.
In all previous Royal Rumbles there has never been such an open competition, with several candidates looking good for victory. On Raw, the favourites include veterans Shawn Michaels and Triple H, both men former World Champions, both men former Royal Rumble winners, but both men with issues to settle with the other man. Further favourites from Raw include another pair of former World Champions, the Rated-RKO pair of Randy Orton and Edge. The current World Tag Team Champions both enter the match confident of victory, none more so than Edge who will enter the match at Number 30. But perhaps the true favourite is the undefeated Umaga. The Samoan Bulldozer has never been pinned or forced to submit, and has dominated Monday nights for the past nine months or so. With Armando Alejandro Estrada guiding his career, Umaga has to be considered a strong contender for victory here.
Over on Smackdown, former World Champions such as Kane and King Booker will no doubt last a long time in the match, but perhaps the veteran who has made the biggest statement regarding the Rumble is The Undertaker. Having never won the Royal Rumble match before, The Deadman will no doubt be out to claim one of the few achievements he can't claim to own despite such an illustrious career. Could it be that come Wrestlemania XXIII we see not only a World Championship up for grabs but also The Undertaker's famed Wrestlemania streak on the line?
Across both brands, the sounds of rebellious youngsters has been heard, with plenty of relative newcomers looking to make their marks. On Raw, current ECW Champion Bobby Lashley craves a shot at a World Championship, while CM Punk, Johnny Nitro, Carlito and Chris Masters all looked poised to take the next big step in their careers. On Smackdown, Matt Hardy looks primed to do well in the Rumble, as does MVP, who will no doubt look to make a big impact on his return to the WWE. However, the one youngster who has preached about his winning the Rumble the most is the Green Bay Loudmouth Mr. Kennedy. Since the turn of the year, Kennedy has loudly stated 2007 will be the year of Kennedy. Will the first pay per view of the year see Kennedy fulfil his early prophecy?
30 Men... One Destiny. The Royal Rumble is up for grabs, and with such a wide open field, the Wrestlemania main event is there for the taking.

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
World Heavyweight Champion Batista vs. Finlay

Since winning back the World Heavyweight Championship at the 2006 Survivor Series, Batista has quietly saw off all challengers with ease. That all changed on the first Smackdown of 2007 when Finlay saw off three former World Champions to earn himself a shot at The Animal. With his trusty shillelagh in hand, Finlay has inflicted damage on Batista like few others can claim to have done so, going as far as to injure Batista's left shoulder. With show opening and ending brawls between the two in recent weeks, neither man has backed down, but The Animal has no doubt been weakened by Finlay's assault. Although General Manager Teddy Long finally intervened last Friday night, banning the shillelagh from ringside, the damage already done may be too great for Batista to overcome. Could this match be just too much for Batista? Can Finlay finally win his first World Heavyweight Championship? Or will The Wounded Animal bite back, showing just how dominant a World Heavyweight Champion Batista can be?

WWE Championship Match:
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Rob Van Dam

Since he marked his return to Raw on the New Year's Night episode of the show, Rob Van Dam has clashed frequently with Mr. McMahon. Indeed, when RVD challenged John Cena man to man for a shot at the WWE Championship, The Chairman of the Board was initially furious at the thought. Cena however has never backed down from a challenge, accepting and agreeing to the match with Van Dam. This has now led to McMahon having problems with Cena too. It all came to a head last Monday night, as during a contract signing both Cena and Van Dam took their frustrations out on The Boss, with Vince being FU'ed through a table and then nailed with a five star frog splash. All thoughts of McMahon will be put aside tonight though as Cena and RVD compete for the biggest prize in the game. Although a level of respect exists between both men, neither will hold back in pursuit of glory. Will RVD complete his comeback by knocking off Cena? Or will Cena show he has the heart and passion to rival Van Dam and retain his championship?

Intercontinental Championship Match:
Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy vs. Kenny Dykstra

Dykstra earned this opportunity with a rather dubious victory over Hardy in tag team action. Since then, both men have been involved in the Rated-RKO/DX feud, with the pair meeting in six man action. It would be Hardy's team who emerged victorious that night, and the Intercontinental Champion would further infuriate his challenger by removing Kenny as a distraction during a World Tag Team Championship match. The issue between the two escalated last Monday night however, as Kenny and his Rated-RKO brethren, Edge and Orton attacked Jeff backstage, laying a brutal beatdown on Hardy. Although the beating was sufficient for Edge and Orton, it wasn't enough for their young protégé, as Dykstra wanted more. So much more infact that Dykstra struck with a devastating one man con-chair-to, which saw Hardy taken out of the arena on a stretcher. As of this point, WWE officials still don't know if Hardy will receive medical clearance to compete. Will the match even take place this Sunday? Will Dykstra simply be handed the Intercontinental Championship? Or will Jeff show unbelievable courage to step up and beat Dykstra to remain Intercontinental Champion?

United States Championship Match:
United States Champion Chris Benoit vs. Test

Since his arrival on Smackdown, Test has singled out Benoit, targeting the United States Champion and dominating him in a way few have during Benoit's long career. Arriving determined to make an impact, Test has done just that with a series of attacks on Benoit, usually just after Benoit has competed in tough matches. The two met in tag team action, with Test winning that night. But at the Royal Rumble, will Test step up and make the biggest impact possible? Or will the wily veteran Benoit show he can still overcome even the greatest odds on any night?

I'm fairly certain that every comment/review in this thread has been returned in some shape or form, so of course any predictions will be returned as well. There is one more pre show news/notes/spoilers post to be made before the show is posted. No idea when the show will be posted, but it'll be posted in FULL at some point.
