World Wrestling Alliance

With Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan getting back into wrestling, going to TNA, Paul Heyman felt like he was being left out. TNA contacted him, but he didn’t want to go to them. He contacted WWE, but they said they had no use for him as of right now and told him to call back in six months. ROH heard that he wanted work and contacted him. Heyman almost signed with them, before backing out of the deal. An old friend, Jim Cornette contacted him, about possibly creating a wrestling business. After much talk and planning, World Wrestling Alliance was born. They snagged some free agents, and a few WWE and TNA stars, but not wanting to take to many of them as they didn’t want to be like WWE or TNA. They got a Tuesday Night Timeslot on Timeslot on TNT, but was only able to snag a 1 hour timeslot, with it being 9-10 PM. Toyota Center in York, Pennsylvania was announced as WWA’s home, with most of the future shows to be held in that arena. With this, World Wrestling Alliance is off the ground with their first show coming July 27th, 2010.
