WWE Monday Night Raw Preview February 6th, 2006
This week Monday Night Raw rolls into Atlanta, Georgia, as the Road To Wrestlemania continues, and what a show it will be.
This Monday, in a rematch from the Royal Rumble, Kurt Angle puts his WWE Championship on the line against Triple H. Their first match was brutal and bloody, and the Olympic Gold Medallist emerged victorious, but thanks to General Manager Eric Bischoff, Helmsley gets one more shot. However, due to the treatment of referee's Jack Doan and Mike Chioda during the first match, no referee will sign up to officiate, and Bischoff has had to look elsewhere. Who will he choose?
One man who will be keeping a close eye on the outcome of the WWE title match is the Royal Rumble winner, John Cena. Cena will go on to face the WWE Champion at Wrestlemania, but has other things to worry about also, namely Shawn Michaels. Cena has not yet been able to get his hands on 'The Heartbreak Kid' since Michaels assaulted him at the Rumble. The two had a brief staredown last week, with Michaels seemingly getting inside the head of 'The Doctor Of Thuganomics'. Will we finally get an explanation of his actions from HBK, or will the mind games continue?
In a change from the usual, Edge will be the guest on a different talk show this week. The host of The Cutting Edge is used to being the one asking the questions, but this time he is the one in the spotlight, as Mr. Money In The Bank will appear on the infamous Carlito's Cabana. The two young superstars have had an uneasy alliance of late, starting when Edge helped Carlito defeat Ric Flair, and continuing at the Rumble. But what questions will the Caribbean superstar have for 'The Rated R Superstar'?
Eric Bischoff has once again done his best to arouse the annoyance of former partners Charlie Haas and the Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin, by placing them in yet another tag team contest. Last week the two athletes showed their tag team class by defeating Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch, but this week the Redneck Wrecking Crew will get another shot at the hostile partners. Will the World Tag Team Champions the Spirit Squad be in attendance?
Gregory Helms will finally get his hands on Eugene in one-on-one action, but will Helms find out that Eugene isn't the push over he thought?
Expect an appearance also from the treacherous and destructive Big Show, who last week assaulted his former friend and partner, Kane. Will that be enough to keep 'The Big Red Machine' down?
As well as that, Eric Bischoff has promised us an update on the condition of 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair, who was put out of action by SmackDown's JBL.
Plus, watch out for superstars such as Women's Champion Trish Stratus, Chavo Guerrero , Matt Striker, Chris Masters, and Mickie James. They will all be gracing us with their presence in Atlanta. Monday Night Raw at 8/7 central on Monday night. Don't miss it; it's going to be a Raw to remember...
