WWE Monday Night Raw Preview January 23rd, 2006

This week Monday Night Raw rolls into the home of 'The Nature Boy', Charlotte, North Carolina in the final action packed installment before the most star studded Royal Rumble in history.

Triple H is indeed 'The Game' and he showed us exactly why last week. Not caring about winning the match, Helmsley left Kurt Angle alone in the ring with their tag team opponents Shawn Michaels and John Cena, before finally picking the pieces of the WWE Champion's already beaten form. Angle has promised revenge this week, but one has to wonder if 'The Cerebral Assassin' has one more trick up his sleeve. Will the Olympic Gold Medallist be able to play the game?

Once again, Eric Bischoff and Mr. McMahon proved to us that they are worthy of their dastardly reputations, as they stacked the odds against their enemies, John Cena and 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels. At the Royal Rumble, Cena and Michaels will go one-on-one with the final spot in the Rumble on the line. The question remains though, as to whether or not Cena and HBK will even make it to the Rumble, as in Charlotte they face two stiff challenges. Michaels must face the monstrous and treacherous Big Show, whilst Cena faces the odds as he runs the gauntlet against all five members of the Spirit Squad. Will either man make it out of North Carolina still standing?

We will also here from 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair, as he addresses his hometown fans in Charlotte, ahead of the Royal Rumble. Last week, Flair's golden run ended when he lost the Intercontinental Championship to Shelton Benjamin, following interference from Carlito. Will Flair's dream come true at the Rumble, or will the cocky Carlito continue to plague the Naitch?

Keep an eye open to for Mr. Money In The Bank himself Edge, as he makes his presence felt with the firm intention of letting everyone know who is winning the Rumble this Sunday ... Him! Last week, Edge interviewed Rob Van Dam on The Cutting Edge via video link, and 'Mr. Monday Night' got right under the skin of the 'Rated R Superstar'. How will Edge react this week, and will we receive a further clue as to when and where he will finally cash in his Money In The Bank contract?

Plus, watch out for superstars such as Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin, Gregory Helms, Eugene, Matt Striker and Trish Stratus, who will all be gracing us with their presence in North Carolina. Monday Night Raw comes to you at 8/7 central on Monday night. Don't miss it; it's going to be a Raw to remember...
