WWE Friday Night Smackdown Preview January 20th, 2006

This week Friday Night Smackdown rolls into Fort Lauderdale in sunny Florida as the road to the Royal Rumble continues.

Revenge is certainly sweet, and no man knows that any better than The Undertaker. Last week, the "Phenom" attained a level of vengeance over Randy Orton, defeating the "Legend Killer" to book his place in the World Heavyweight Championship match at the Rumble. Three men. One match. One title. With the Triple Threat now official, Smackdown General Manger Theodore Long has took it upon himself to make one of the biggest Main Events in the history of Friday Night's, with Randy Orton and his own choice of partner teaming up to take on the Champion Batista and The Undertaker! Will "The Animal" and "The Deadman" be able to co-exist, or will Orton be allowed to pick the pieces of a potentially disasterous partnership?

Filled with the kind of fighting spirit that we have come to know and love, Rey Mysterio was triumphant in his match up with Johnny Nitro last week. He claims that he is filled with a new resurgence, desperate to make his late-great friend Eddie Guerrero proud. MNM and Mysterio have been having their altercations for a while now, and the WWE Tag Team Champions get a second chance to put the Mexican down, when Joey Mercury takes his turn against the "Master of the 619".

Last week we were unfortunate enough to witness the heinous assault of Matt Hardy at the hands of John 'Bradshaw' Layfield. Word has reached us that Hardy will not be in attendance at Smackdown this Friday, due to the injuries he sustained. JBL claimed that he deserves better than this 'petty' business with Hardy, and stated that his attack on the youngster had "ended" their rivalry once and for all. As JBL looks on to the Royal Rumble and to greater things, will Matt Hardy share the same sentiment from his home in North Carolina?

We will also be getting appearances from a host of budding young tag teams looking to make their mark on Friday Night's, and alert MNM of their presence. The Mexicools, The Dicks, and Brian Kendrick & Paul London will be in attendance, providing the undeniable excitement that we are so used to in Smackdown's tag team division.

Also, tune in for another special appearance from the injured Ken Kennedy. Continuing with the past few weeks' tradition, Kennedy will be speaking to Michael Cole and Tazz from his home in Green Bay, Wisconsin, keeping us informed on his recovery.

Plus, watch out for superstars such as Bobby Lashley, William Regal, Booker T, Chris Benoit and Kid Kash, who will all be gracing us with their presence in Florida. Friday Night Smackdown comes to you at 8/7 central on Friday Night. Don't miss it, it's going to be a Smackdown to remember...
