Re: WWE 2008: Bringin' the Pain!!
Monday Night Raw Preview
One night after a historic Wrestlemania 24 Raw will be in Orlando just miles away from the Citrus Bowl where Mania took place, obviously the biggest story out of last night's Wrestlemania was the retiremnt of Ric Flair. Flair lost a career threatening match to Shawn Michaels and now has to retire. Some of Flair's closest friends from both Raw and Smackdown will be in attendance inclduing "The Animal" Batista from Smackdown as Flair makes his final farewell speech
Of course Ric isn't the only thing happening out of Wrestlemania. Randy Orton shocked the World as he managed to defeat both John Cena and Triple H to retain his WWE Championship. Orton is set to open the show and comment on his victory. The question in everyone's head now though is, who's next for the Legend Killer.
That question will be answered on Raw as there will be an 8-man battle royale featuring Raw's top superstars to decide a challenger to Orton at the next Raw Pay-Per-View, Backlash. John Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kane, the Big Show, JBL, Mr. Kennedy, and Carlito will all enter the ring but only one will be the last one standing. The winner challenges Orton at Backlash
Another big story out of Wrestlemania is of course the end of ECW. Several ECW superstars have come to Raw including Mr. Money in the Bank, CM Punk. Punk is scheduled to make an appearance tonight adressing his win in the Money in the Bank Ladder but some of the ECW superstars are garunteed to be in the ring on Raw.
Raw newcomer Kofi Kingston will join forces with the Intercotinental Champion Chris Jericho to face Paul Burchill and his partner fresh from ECW "The Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin. Will the ECW newcomers shine? Could see potentially see this match effecting the IC Title picture, who knows?
All this and more on Monday Night Raw live at 9/8 CT on USA.
