Trust me, Shine on You Craz Diamond is one of my favorite songs of all time as well as Brain Damage/Eclipse and Comftorably Numb but when it comes to hard rock I don't know if Pink Floyd is that. It could be argued but I reserve that genre to Led Zeppelin or a band from the 70's that was the metal of the 70's. I understand Pink Floyd is hard rock but why rank them up there with bands like Zeppelin or AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Kiss, and Deep Purple who mean more to that genre? Pink Floyd are just too great but don't mean enough to the genre to put a song of theirs over those bands I just listed. If I did put Floyd on there I'd probably have to put them at #1. If Floyd was on there then then you'd have to argue about many other bands who were great but not on the hard rocker level of those few bands I mentioned.
