Default Re: Official Rock Discussion Thread

So I checked out some stuff by those guys "We came as romans"

Sounds pretty good but this might sound a little bit weird but do you guys think its possible to get tired of a genre of music?

I just feel like I've listened to so much post hardcore/screamo for so long that its no longer amusing , I feel almost like I've more or less heard the same stuff a million times before when I try to listen to new post hardcore/screamo bands , and even when the new TDWP & ASD albums came out I got tired of them pretty quick

I've been starting to feel the same way about the very similar genre of metalcore too (And basically just any extreme variety of metal)

Its werid but I'm starting to feel like my favorite kinds of music are mostly getting stale

I question if its simply the quality of the music the bands make slipping but I see so much praise for TDWPs new album from alot of people (Meaning surely its a masterpiece of the genre) and that album for the most part failed to amuse me and the half I do like got old strangely fast

I donno , I just keep buying the new albums from bands I know I like and hoping to thoroughly enjoy them but it seems like alot of them have been falling short lately

Strangely I don't seem to be having this issue with my more tame favorite types of music : Rock & Pop rock & (screamless) regular metal which makes me think maybe I'm simply low on testoserone or something for some reason lately
