I'm guessing you would have received a better response if you explained the whole wrestlers from the future aspect a bit more. Didn't have to be a realistic reason, just could've been something as simple as like an evil promoter creating a time machine and kidnapping wrestlers from the future to get one over a rival promoter, who angered him when he was child by breaking the head off of his Lou Thesz action figure.
Seriously though, it's an interesting concept.
