Live From ‘The Voltage Zone’ in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Tuesday, 23rd June 2009
This Tuesday night will witness the first ever TNA Voltage taping, live from ‘The Voltage Zone’ in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Jeff Jarrett looks as serious as hell when he promises that this brand will revitalise the TNA federation, but as the saying goes: you can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk? This phrase will be assigned to Jeff Jarrett throughout the night, but by the looks of things, Voltage looks set to bring out the best in TNA on only its first night of broadcast. Here’s what’s set to go down come Tuesday night…
As we all know, the main title here on Voltage is the ‘TNA Legends Title’, with a perfect ‘legend’ of TNA holding the belt, Mr. AJ Styles. However, with the holding of a major title belt comes a huge bounty on top of the holder’s head. Tonight, Styles looks set to be welcomed by Jeff Jarrett in the ring, and he is set to be ‘knighted’ as the face of TNA Voltage. However, with a big event like this, only one can wonder which superstars will be dying to get their hands on not only AJ, but the belt itself.
Proving The Worth
Speaking of AJ Styles, not only will he be involved in the opening ceremony of Voltage, but he will also take part in what looks set to be a fantastic main event. Teaming up with Samoa Joe, Styles will take on the new TNA World Tag Team Champions, Beer Money Incorporated, in a non-title contest. This looks set to be an amazing contest involving some of the best talent in TNA today, but the question is, which team will gain the victory?
A Devine Debut?
After Slammiversary VII, a large number of signings were announced to the TNA Company, and two of them were former independent wrestling stars Kenny Omega and Daisy Haze, who have reportedly set up an alliance. Tonight, Kenny Omega looks set to prove himself as he takes on a relatively unknown competitor by the name of Phil Atlas, who will also be hoping to prove his worth against the new blood on TNA. But with Daisy Haze in Omega’s corner, will this affect proceedings?
5 Minute Limit
The following broadcasts of TNA iMPACT before Slammiversary VII were dominated by one man who wanted to prove something- Matt Morgan. Setting up a five minute time limit match up, Morgan would challenge absolutely anyone who thought they could beat Matt within the five minutes, with the winner gaining a TNA contract, naming this the ‘Matt Morgan Five Minute Challenge’. Obviously, Morgan was successful, beating one opponent in the space of twenty-eight seconds. However, tonight he brings this challenge onto Voltage. Will things be different, or will Morgan prevail yet again?
That’s A Knockout
The Knockouts division is now firmly implemented on Voltage, with Jeff Jarett owning the rights to the Knockouts Title, which forced many members of the division to migrate to Voltage. Tonight, we will get a sneak preview of what the division has in store now it’s on new territory, as arguably two of the toughest Knockouts- ODB and Sojo Bolt- go head to head in a one-on-one contest. Not only that, but what will be in store next for ‘TNA Knockouts Champion’ Angelina Love after she successfully beat and injured Awesome Kong at Slammiversary? All will be found out come Tuesday.
A Second Chance
After dropping the TNA World Tag Team Titles to Beer Money at Slammiversary VII in a tag team elimination tables match thanks to the interference of Jackie Moore, Jeff Jarrett is handing Team 3D a lifeline by giving them a chance to compete for the number one contendership of the valued titles. However, in order to gain this exclusive accolade, Team 3D tonight need to take on LAX and The British Invasion in a triple-threat tag team match, with the winners facing Beer Money for the titles on next week’s Voltage taping. Which team will prevail?
All this and much, much more come Tuesday night!
