PSVR Presents---WWE: The Comeback
Hey folks. This is my first ever BTB thread here on wrestling forum. I've done show writing and stuff like that on other sites, but it has been a while since I've done any shows that were noteworthy. So I decided to finally post here and make my own BTB. Hope you guys enjoy it, as I'll look forward to what y'all have to say. So without further adieu, here is the backstory.
WWE: The Comeback
Backstory: After Wrestlemania 25 didnít draw as well as Vince McMahon had planned, he was worried about the potential future of the WWE. Vince let the Raw, Smackdown, and ECW run their course after Wrestlemania. But that didnít last too long. Backlash drew some of the worse ratings in WWE history for a PPV. Vince was approached by writers, family, and superstars. There was nothing left for Vince to do. He had no choice but to cancel the WWE. Fast forward to June, where Vince McMahon plans to address the future of his beloved company. Rumors began to swirl around the wrestling community that the WWE is done for good. The time came and Vince took the podium to address the situation at hand.
Vince-Ladies and Gentlemen, I thank for joining me here this evening. As you know, after Backlash on April 26th, I unfortunately postponed WWE programming until further notice. With that said, many of you are wondering what the future holds for the WWE. Well as of right now, all of the roster has been released from their respective brands. The WWE plans on holding a draft right here tomorrow. The draft will be held in private and the results will be posted on WWE.com as soon as they are finalized. Raw, Smackdown, and ECW will all be present for the drafts. While the draft is going on, I will be appointing General Managers for each of the three brands. All championship belts will be vacated and the tag team championship will be eligible to compete on all three brands. Thank you for joining us year this evening and stay tuned for the finalized rosters tomorrow
The media began to buzz and wrestling fans regained the passion they once thought was lost. The WWE was on its way back and a new era was about to sweep in. The day passed and fans anxiously waited to see the new rosters for the three brands. Vince McMahon returned to the podium for another big announcement.
Vince-The rosters are being finalized as we speak. But I have news regarding who will be in control of the three brands. Now Iíve fielded calls from potential GMís and Iíve made calls to establish stars in this business about taking over as a GM. Now after reviewing the list of the potential suitors, I have narrowed down to three choices. Lets start with ECW. ECW garnished more attention than I thought it would from the candidates. After getting a general idea of what the roster would look like, the candidates seemed more interested in ECW than they were Raw or Smackdown. But when it came down to it, I wanted to put the hands of ECW into some who knows ECW inside and out, a man who is still associated with ECW till this day. He is considered the voice of ECW and now he will be considered the brains of ECW. The new ECW general manager is none other than Joey Styles. Smackdown was pretty much a no brainer for me when it came down to deciding on the GM. This man has been associated with Smackdown for many years. He is an experienced GM and one of the best GMís I have ever hired, and he takes his rightful place as Smackdownís GM. He is Teddy Long. Now onto Monday Night Raw. This was the toughest choice of them all. The high profile candidates that I tried to contact had no interest in filling the GM spot. So I had to think outside of the box here. And it hit me, that I need to give this spot to a man who wasnít really accepted as Rawís GM. He was the butt of the joke and the fans didnít appreciate what he was doing. But a good business man knows that if given a second chance, you can only improve upon what you did wrong your first opportunity. That is why I am renaming Mike Adamle as the general manager of Raw. Thank you.
With the big announcement of the general managers, all that was left now was the rosters. Once the rosters got set, the WWE would be back on the road again. An hour or so passed and a WWE mobile alert was sent out saying the rosters were finalized and have been posted on WWE.com.
