Friday Night Smackdown Preview for Friday May 12, 2006

Only nine days remain until we roll into Kansas City, Missouri for Judgment Day as Smackdown comes to you tonight from Sioux City, Iowa. Already announced for the show happens to be the Cutting Edge on which all six men in the Six Pack Challenge Match for Judgment Day will be in the ring. With so many combustible elements all together, certainly something must be going down? Will any of the superstars actually get along with one another? What will go down on the Cutting Edge?

Batista cost Rey Mysterio the six man tag match last week and Mysterio is out for vengeance. Mysterio this week will be in action as he fights tonight against fellow Cruiserweight and former Cruiserweight Champion, Kid Kash. Batista has been barred from ringside but will that stop him from doing anything to Rey anyways? Both men have been at blows for a while and right now it seems as if they never will calm the storm.

Two young and upcoming superstars have been on the warpath ever since the Friday Night after WrestleMania. Both Mr. Kennedy and Bobby Lashley have proven themselves on Smackdown since last Fall when both debuted. But last week, Kennedy was supposedly out to announce why he attacked Lashley but nothing was ever announced. As punishment by Teddy Long, Kennedy now has to fight Lashley come Judgment Day. And get a preview tonight as Lashley teams with Matt Hardy to fight Mr. Kennedy and the United States Champion, Booker T. Which team will get the win?

Finally, a Number One Contender to the Cruiserweight Championship will be announced as a huge Battle Royal will take place with the winner moving on towards Judgment Day to fight the champion, Jamie Noble. Many cruiserweights now have a shot at perhaps gaining one of the most respected titles in the WWE if they can simply win the Battle Royal, then overcome the champion at Judgment Day. Could we see a shock win or will a veteran of the ring perhaps take the win? Find out on Smackdown!
