Re: Being The Booker

Friday Night Smackdown; February 16th; Pittsburgh:

Opening video, with highlights from Saturday Nights Main Event, where Chris Jericho defeated Edge to confirm his spot in the Smackdown main event at WrestleMania, with the WWE Championship now a triple threat match.

Opening Video

The music of Kurt Angle kicks off proceedings, to a massive hometown pop from the Pittsburgh fans, despite his recent heinous actions. The pop increases, as Kurt Angle enters the stage, with the fans on their feet for the Olympic Hero. Angle makes his way down the aisle, dressed to compete, wearing his ‘TAP OUT’ shirt, along with the rest of his wrestling attire.

Michael Cole: He is a revered folk hero in his native hometown. But ladies and gentlemen, you are looking at a vindictive wrestling machine, hell bent on causing pain and destruction. This past Saturday night, Kurt Angle BROKE Kanes ankle, as a clear warning to Kanes big brother, The Undertaker who he meets in 30 days time at WrestleMania 23.

Tazz: Never before has Kurt Angle been so fully focused on one goal. Never before has Kurt Angle been in the type of form he’s been in these last couple months. Forget breaking the streak, Angle wants to break another ankle at WrestleMania.

Michael Cole: And tonight, he may just set his sights on another set of ankles, as he is part of our main event tonight, which sees all three men - that’s THREE men set to compete in the triple threat match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Angle tonight, teams with the Rated ‘R’ Superstar, Mister Money in the Bank, Edge to take on both of Edges opponents at WrestleMania, Chris Jericho and the WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam.

Tazz: Rocketbuster main event tonight Cole.

Michael Cole: And not only that, every other match tonight will have WrestleMania ramifications. More on that later, but for now, Kurt Angle has the floor.

Angle stands in the ring, soaking up an irregular massive pop, before putting his hand up, looking to stop the cheers.

Kurt Angle: Last week, I made a promise.

Angle stops, as the cheers seem to kick up again. The Olympian looks a little angered by the positive reaction, but ignores it and continues anyway.

Kurt Angle: And that promise-

Angle stops again, unable to talk over the ‘ANGLE’ chants in the arena.

Kurt Angle: Can you give it a rest please?? I’m trying to get a point across here.

The cheers die down a little, but not to Angles satisfaction.

Kurt Angle: Okay, SHUT UP!!!

Some fans boo their hero, whilst others still cheer, and the rest do get the message, and simmer down.

Kurt Angle: I made a promise, not some empty threat. I made a cast iron promise, and on Saturday Nights Main Event, I delivered.

Angle still doesn’t get the reactions he craves, with most fans still cheering. He looks a little pissed off in the ring, but continues on.

Kurt Angle: I guaranteed that I would take Kanes ankle … and snap it like a twig!!!

More cheers, but a very small section of boos.

Kurt Angle: And for those of you who didn’t see it, or still haven’t heard?? Kane is now out of action … indefinitely.

Angle breaks from his intensity for a moment to show a sick grin, before turning up the intensity again.

Kurt Angle: That was no accident. UNDERTAKER, you’re the next victim on my list.

And bingo, finally Angle gets a bit of heat, although not much, as he turns his attention to the heartbeat of the WWE, The Undertaker.

Kurt Angle: I’ve said it before … but now?? Now you know it’s not an empty threat. It’s real Taker …

Angle turns his attention to the hard camera, getting right into it.

Kurt Angle: It’s … DAMN REAL!!!

Another small batch of boos, but those are beaten out still by cheers. Angle turns from the hard camera, and looks around, then starts to speak again.

Kurt Angle: Up until now Taker, and maybe even still … you think I’m just going to roll over at WrestleMania. Because that’s what happens, isn’t it??

The Olympian shakes his head, with a smile on his face.

Kurt Angle: Not this time. Not this year Deadman.

Angle slowly walks to the ropes, leaning on them as he continues.

Kurt Angle: For too long, whoever it is, whether it be Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Ric Flair, Triple H, your own brother … whoever, no matter the experience, no matter the number of championships or accolades … they’ve always come up short when it comes to this time of year … when it comes to facing you at WrestleMania.

Random cheers and cat calls from the fans, as Angle moves away from the ropes, taking a break for a second.

Kurt Angle: Why is that, huh?? Why does a guy like Ric Flair, after everything he’s done, after everything he’s accomplished in this business … why could he not measure up at WrestleMania 18??

Angle looks around inquisitively.

Kurt Angle: Triple H. Ten times world champion. Disposed of at WrestleMania 17 without a moments thought.

Some cheers.

Kurt Angle: Shawn Michaels. If I’m not mistaken, the guy calls himself Mister WrestleMania. At WrestleMania 21 … beaten.

The Wrestling Machine shakes his head in disgust.

Kurt Angle: And Chris Jericho last year?? Close, sure. But still beaten.

Angle puts his head down, looking at the canvas, bringing his head up again, looking out towards the fans, still with a wry smile on his face.

Kurt Angle: But I know why that’s happened. I know, why you’ve been able to stay undefeated at WrestleMania for so long.

Angle still smiles, as the camera closes in, with Kurt putting his index finger to his temple, and taps it a couple of times.

Kurt Angle: It’s all … up … here.

Angle nods, smiling again.

Kurt Angle: It’s the aura you bring Deadman. It’s all the smoke and mirrors. The mind games. Every year, you’ve got your opponent beaten before the bell even rings.

Angle looks around to the fans, looking to see any reactions, before speaking again.

Kurt Angle: Whether it’s the spooky videos before the event, or the constant reminders that you’ve never lost at WrestleMania. Or the who’s who list of victims … or the euphoric entrance, the druids, the fireworks, or the occasion. There is always something that beats the opponent for you.

Suddenly, the smile turns to a scowl.

Kurt Angle: Not this time though … not this year.

Angle starts to pick up the intensity again in his voice.

Kurt Angle: Because I’m not buying all that bull. It wont wash with me.

He holds his hand up, as if he wants to defend his words.

Kurt Angle: Now, I know what most of you are thinking. I know you’re all sitting there, thinking to yourself, or turning to the person next to you, and saying, “I’ve heard it all before. I heard Chris Jericho say the same thing last year. I heard Shawn Michaels say this too.” That’s true.

A few boos from a small section of fans, but Angle quickly talks on.

Kurt Angle: But look at me. Get the camera in my face. Take a good luck into my eyes. COME ONE!!!

Kurt berates the cameraman, with him quickly doing as Angle asks.

Kurt Angle: Look at these eyes. Do you see fear?? Do you see someone that doesn’t believe what he says?? I will NOT be taken in by The Undertakers mind games. And I’ll tell you why.

The camera moves away, with Angle turning his attention elsewhere.

Kurt Angle: This year, it’s a whole new playing field. Last year at WrestleMania … I suffered the most humiliating loss of my career.

Pop from the fans, remembering the awe inspiring performance of Bret Hart.

Kurt Angle: It took me EIGHT MONTHS to recover from that loss. Eight months for an athlete of my calibre … is like a lifetime.

Angle tries to keep a lid on his simmering anger.

Kurt Angle: But after all that time … humiliating loss, after humiliating loss, I allowed that defeat to work against me … when the whole time, I should’ve been using that loss to my advantage. And when I came back in November, that’s exactly what I did.

The Olympian starts to breathe more erratically.

Kurt Angle: And at the Survivor Series … I did the unthinkable. At the Survivor Series … I made the indestructible Undertaker … TAP!!!

Unwanted pop for Angle from the fans.

Kurt Angle: Just when the entire world thought Kurt Angle was finished, I came back better than ever.

The Wrestling Machine puts his hand on his hip, looking to the side, before speaking again.

Kurt Angle: You may be wondering, what has any of that got to do with WrestleMania???

Angle smirks, then gets serious again.

Kurt Angle: It’s got EVERYTHING to do with WrestleMania. Last year … I allowed the occasion to get to me. I allowed the magnitude of the match get into my head. I heard the same thing over and over … ‘it’s the Match of the Millennium’, ‘the dream match’, ‘a miracle’, the same things over and over. And I allowed it to get into my head.

Head down, Angle continues to talk, reliving his most crushing loss.

Kurt Angle: That’s what beat me last year. I didn’t wrestle the man in front of me … I wrestled the occasion. And the occasion won.

Angle looks up, as if reborn, with a fire in his eyes.

Kurt Angle: I will NEVER allow that to happen again. This year, WrestleMania is just another night. There is no big occasion. The SuperDome is just another arena. The Undertaker is just another obstacle. And the streak … is a non factor.

Kurt cracks a half smile from the side of his mouth.

Kurt Angle: As far as I’m concerned, it’ll be just two men … in a ring.

Slight pop for Angle, as he looks to the hard camera again.

Kurt Angle: And the best man … on the night, and not one moment before it … in the ring, and nowhere else … will have his hand raised.

Angle still has his eyes locked on the camera.

Kurt Angle: And Taker … that man … is gonna be Kurt Angle.

Angles music kicks in again, but the camera doesn’t move an inch, as the Wrestling Machine stares into the close up, showing all his intensity from his eyes. His burning desire to rectify last years WrestleMania defeat showing, and his determination to beat the Deadman unquestioned.

Michael Cole: Has anyone Tazz, ever shown that type of attitude towards facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania?? For years, the likes of Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels have been intent on ending the streak of The Deadman at WrestleMania, consumed with that goal. This time, Kurt Angle has a completely different agenda. Angle is coming at this match with a totally unique viewpoint, and with the determination he is showing, could Kurt Angle do the unthinkable, and end the Undertakers 14-0 streak at WrestleMania.

Tazz: It’s a heck of an approach. Angle got wrapped up in the moment last year, he’s hell bent on not doing the same this year. The Deadman is in big trouble come March 18. He’s facing a type of opponent he’s never had to deal with at the big dance.

Michael Cole: One thing is for certain, Kurt Angle and the Undertaker are going to give us something special come WrestleMania.

We return to the arena, with Trevor & Festus Murdoch on their way to the ring, whilst Deuce & Domino and Cryme Tyme are already waiting, with the fatal four way match to determine the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships up now.

The fans come to their feet, as Matt & Jeff, the reunited Hardy Boys enter the arena to a terrific response.

Michael Cole: Not without their problems with the WWE Tag Team Champions, how fitting would it be for the Hardy brothers, Matt and Jeff to get a shot at Americas Most Wanted at the grandest stage of ‘em all, WrestleMania??

Tazz: I don’t know if these other three team would agree though Cole. They aint been happy that the Hardys have just come back on the scene and tried to jump to the front of the line. Big opportunity for all four teams.

Deuce & Domino vs. Cryme Tyme vs. The Mad Murdochs vs. The Hardy Boys
No surprises at the result, and the match is kept short with the winners obvious before the contest began. The three remaining teams aren’t made to look particularly weak in losing, but the match belongs to Matt & Jeff Hardy, and when in the match, neither man is given too much trouble. The finish comes, as Matt goes up top for a leg drop to Domino, but gets pushed off the top rope by Deuce!!! This sparks a reaction from Jeff, and the match breaks down, as the Murdochs and Cryme Tyme get into it, brawling to the outside!!! In the ring, Domino looks to hit a DDT on Matt, but Jeff saves his brother, and The Hardy Boys team together, dropkicking Deuce out of the ring, as Matt then delivers the Twist of Fate, and Jeff follows with the Swanton, as Matt makes the cover, 1...2...3!!!!!
Winners: And #1 Contenders - The Hardy Boys @ 06:01

And the match is set!!! The Hardy Boys now have the chance to claim their first tag team gold together in nearly five and a half years!!! Matt & Jeff hug in the ring, delighted at their victory, whilst the camera suddenly switches to the stage, where AMW, not dressed for action, but in jeans and WrestleMania 23 t-shirts, watch their opponents, slowly clapping the efforts of the brothers.

Clearly the applause isn’t genuine, and Matt & Jeff know it. AMW, arguably the best team of the last three years, will now officially meet one of the greatest teams in WWE history at WrestleMania … The Hardy Boys.

Michael Cole: What a match it’ll be Tazz. The reunited Hardy brothers, getting a shot at the highly coveted tag team championships, a shot at the team that has been the dominant force of the tag team division on Smackdown for the best part of two years. The one constant team on Smackdown, Americas Most Wanted to face the Hardy Boys at WrestleMania.

Tazz: But how about this for a stat Cole. AMW and the Hardys … neither pairing has ever won a tag team contest at the showcase of the immortals. Can you believe that??

Michael Cole: Well, come March 18, one of these two teams will end their WrestleMania jinx, that’s for sure. And how fitting would it be for the Hardy Brothers, after such a long time apart, to win back the WWE tag team titles, at the biggest stage of all.

Backstage now, we see big Bobby Lashley doing some final preparations ahead of his United States Title shot in a moment, completing a bunch of one armed press ups. A pair of black boots then enter the picture, but Lashley doesn’t notice anything. The boots have the initials B.A, and quickly, the mystery man sweeps Lashleys arm, and the big man hit’s the floor.

The camera pans up, and it’s the United States Champion, Brent Albright, smiling. Lashley quickly bounces up, furious with the cocky champion.

Brent Albright: I counted ninety nine. Impressive … but you should be shooting for a hundred.

Lashley, quick as a flash, grips Albright by his t-shirt, and slams him up against the wall, quickly forcing Brent to change his demeanour.

Bobby Lashley: You must have a death wish.

Lashley lets go of the champion … then swings back … but doesn’t hit Albright, instead just scaring him.

Bobby Lashley: I’ll spare you for now though … only because I feel sorry for you.

Lashley then looks at the title belt, held over Brents shoulder, and pats it, before showing off a smile.

Bobby Lashley: I feel … very sorry for you.

Lashley then walks off, leaving Albright to sweat over his future as United States Champion. Suddenly he then hears a voice from the background.

Voice: Somebody … is in big trouble, huh??

Albright looks around, and we see the #1 Contender for the United States Championship @ WrestleMania, Batista. The Animal is wearing sunglasses, a white tank top with blue jeans and CAT boots, but shows a wide smile, looking at the pensive United States Champion.

Batista: Guess I wont be seeing you at WrestleMania … champ.

The Animal chuckles a little, and walks away, whilst Brent waits for Batista to get out of earshot, before speaking.

Brent Albright: You will. Oh, you will all right.

Albright strokes his coveted championship, for comfort. But does he believe his own words??

Brent Albright vs. Bobby Lashley
Decent enough contest, but Lashley is limited due to the much speculated injury he has received in recent weeks (yet to be mentioned on Television). The contest is kept short, with Lashley mainly on offence, not having to take much punishment from the champion. Albright is forced to show his own grit, just to survive, and manages to kick out of everything Lashley throws at him. Albright though, does everything he can to avoid the Dominator, and counters the first attempt … BY APPLYING THE CROWBAR!!!!! Lashley doesn’t tap out though, and instead, reaches out, grabbing the ropes!!!

The match continues, with Albright becoming more aggressive, getting in more offence … but gets caught with a SPEAR!!!!! Lashley covers, 1...2...FOOT ON THE ROPE!!! Albright saves the championship from changing hands. But now, the momentum has shifted back to the challenger, and Lashley senses it’s time to finish the job, looking for the Dominator again … BUT THIS TIME … ALBRIGHT SLIDES OFF THE SHOULDER, AND SCHOOL BOYS THE CHAMPION … 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: And STILL United States Champion - Brent Albright @ 06:03

Lashley falls short, and Albright retains his title again!!! Brent outsmarted the big man, and quickly gets his championship, holding onto it for dear life, whilst Lashley is in the ring, stood, shaking his head, unable to process the fact he just lost, having taken his eye off the ball for a moment. Meanwhile, Albright makes his way up the ramp, proving once again why he has held onto the title since October, being resourceful and smart enough to get the win under any circumstance.

Michael Cole: Once again Tazz, Brent Albright has come through, and has kept the title. He came into this match tonight as underdog, just like he seems to be every time he puts the title on the line, yet once again, he’s come through and held onto his beloved United States Championship.

Tazz: There’s no other way to put it Cole, Albright is a fighting champion. He’s never lost a title match. That’s the facts, and his critics need to start sitting up and taking notice. Big or small, Albright beats ‘em all.

Michael Cole: Hey, nice rhyme.

Tazz: Meh, I’m multi talented Cole.

Michael Cole: But joking aside, lets not brush this to the side - Brent Albright just out manoeuvred the much fancied Bobby Lashley. And it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he did the same come WrestleMania, when he meets The Animal, Batista.

Tazz: And hey, he’s beaten Batista once before already. And guess what, the title was on the line then too.

Michael Cole: Indeed he has Tazz.

Tazz: Hey!! The rhyming is my thing, get your own thing.

Michael Cole: (Laughing) Sorry partner, my mistake. Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, this past weekend, Chris Jericho caused a major uproar at Saturday Nights Main Event, by beating Edge, and forcing a triple threat match - the first triple threat match for the WWE Championship ever at WrestleMania, along with the champion RVD and Mister Money in the Bank, Edge. If you missed it, here is what went down…

WWE Championship Decider:
- If Chris Jericho wins, he makes title match a triple threat at WrestleMania -
- If Edge beats Jericho, Jericho is out of title equation at WrestleMania -
Chris Jericho vs. Edge
Special Guest Referee: WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam
It’s a brawl from the get go, with Jericho the aggressor, not even given Edge a chance to take off his leather jacket, pulling it over his face, and pounding his adversary, with Edge unable to see where Jericho is coming from, as Jericho eventually clotheslines him over the top rope, sending Edge to the floor below!!!

Edge continues to pile on the pressure, scoring a plethora of near falls, as he wears Jericho down, and pulls himself to the middle rope, waiting for Jericho to get to his feet, and comes off, looking for an axe handle … BUT GETS CAUGHT … AND TRIPPED … TURNED OVER … WALLS OF JERICHO APPLIED!!!!! Jericho surprises Edge, catching him in the dangerous submission hold

… BUT EDGE GRABS THE BOTTOM ROPE!!! Jericho is forced the break the submission, with RVD having to drag him off, with Jericho refusing to break the hold, and nearly lashes out at Rob Van Dam as the special guest referee breaks his grip from the Walls of Jericho.

RVD warns Jericho, but Y2J pushes him away, to go back at Edge … BUT GETS NAILED WITH A SPEAR!!!!! … 1...2...SHOULDER UP!!!!!

He then sets up for a second Spear … BUT JERICHO LEAPS OVER HIM!!! Edge hit’s the corner, and staggers out … allowing Jericho to nail the running bulldog … AND LOOKS FOR THE LIONSAULT … BUT GETS KNEES!!!!!

Jericho bears down on Edge in the corner, pounding his opponent down … BUT EDGE DELIVERS A LOW BLOW … out of the sight of the special guest referee, caught out of position!!!

RVD, suspecting what’s just happened, checks on Jericho, asking him what’s happened … WITH EDGE LOOKING TO SPEAR JERICHO … BUT JERICHO PUSHES RVD INTO EDGES PATH … SPEAR TO VAN DAM!!!!!

Edge gets up, realising what just happened, and looks down on RVD … THEN LOW BLOWS JERICHO AGAIN!!!!! Edge now turns and steps between the ropes, making his way to the timekeepers table, and pushing past the ring announcers, grabbing something … HOLDING UP THE MONEY IN THE BANK BRIEFCASE!!!

He lines up Jericho for a fatal shot from the illegal briefcase … but as he gathers up speed … HE GETS TRIPPED!!!??? … BY RVD!!!!! Van Dam, going to extreme measures, makes sure order is kept!!! Edge is up to his feet quickly, looking incensed, berating the referee who still struggles on the ground, suffering the effects of the Spear.

Edge picks up the briefcase again, and looks to nail Jericho … BUT HE TURNS AROUND … AND GETS NAILED OUT OF NOWHERE BY JERICHO … WITH A SICK DOUBLE KNEE TO THE FACE DROPPING EDGE {CODEBREAKER}!!!!!!!!!! Jericho hooks the leg tightly, leaning back, as RVD makes the count … slowly … 1 ……… 2 ……… 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Winner: Advancing to WWE Championship Match @ WrestleMania 23 - CHRIS JERICHO @ 17:29

Backstage, Josh Matthews is standing by, with Chris Jericho, dressed for action, wearing a sleeveless ‘Highlight of the Night’ shirt.

Josh Matthews: Chris Jericho, congratulations on earning your spot in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania!!

Jericho shows a proud smile, then looks down a little.

Josh Matthews: And now, you’ll go to New Orleans on March 18th to challenge Rob Van Dam, along with Edge, in the first ever triple threat match for the WWE Championship in WrestleMania history. How do you feel right now, knowing that you’ll be part of the Smackdown main event, after last years heartbreak of just narrowly missing out??

Jericho leans in to the mic, starting his response.

Chris Jericho: Well thanks a lot Josh. Thank you for the words of encouragement. Thank you for everything. But should I be thanking you?? No. There is one man I WOULD like to thank though.

Some cheers in the background, and a faint ‘RVD’ chant.

Chris Jericho: Who?? Rob Van Dam??

Jericho scoffs at the suggestion.

Chris Jericho: Please. If anyone should be giving thanks, it should be Van Dam himself, thanking Edge for what he did at the Super Brawl. Edge saved RVD from losing the championship TO ME.

Heat for Jericho, clearly remaining a heel, after a few weeks of tweener promos.

Chris Jericho: And before you ask, no. I don’t want to thank that ass clown that’s been running around with a briefcase for the last year. No-sir-ee

Jericho smiles, and looks at Josh.

Chris Jericho: The man I want to thank. The man responsible for Chris Jericho getting his spot in the WWE Championship match … the man that threw me a lifeline and gave me my opportunity.

The fans cheer in the background, with Jericho hinting towards Smackdown GM, Arn Anderson.

Chris Jericho: The man is a certified legend, and respected all across the locker room, and right around the world.

Jericho turns, pulling the mic with him, and looking to the camera.

Chris Jericho: The man I’d like to thank … is me.

Heat from the fans, with Jericho screwing up his mouth, looking angry.

Chris Jericho: I’m the man responsible for earning my shot at WrestleMania. It’s been me that’s fought all the way, against the odds, to find myself in the position I’m in today … no one else.

Jericho turns back to Matthews, looking at the interviewer.

Chris Jericho: I’ve done those things. You can give credit to Arn Anderson … but for what?? Doing his job?? You can give credit to Rob Van Dam … but for what?? Doing what he was supposed to and counting to three??

Jericho shakes his head.

Chris Jericho: No. I deserve the thanks. I deserve the credit, and I deserve the accolades. I beat Edge, I would’ve beat Rob Van Dam. And come WrestleMania, I’ll do it again. And once again, I, Chris Jericho, will have no one to thank … but myself.

Jericho leaves the interview, with Matthews looking a little frustrated, having more to ask Jericho.

Backstage, we see Carlito warming up ahead of the six man match in just a moment with two Money in the Bank places - the final two places - up for grabs.

Back into the arena…

The fans boo loudly, as the ultra cocky, highest paid superstar in Smackdown history makes his way to the ring, not set for combat, wearing a three piece suit, with plenty of bling around his neck, as he shows off a diamond encrusted watch to the camera as he makes his way down the ramp. He bypasses the ring though, and joins Michael Cole and Tazz on commentary.

Michael Cole: Tazz, it appears we are about to have some company. M.V.P, one of the competitors in the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania next month in his WrestleMania debut. Yet to be beaten, M.V.P must be a top contender for the briefcase.

Tazz: Absolutely Cole, M.V.P has beaten some big names in his short stint here on Smackdown, veterans, rookies and the likes of Batista and Bobby Lashley. Let’s not forget, he beat Finlay last weekend at the Saturday Night Main Event. This guy is proving his worth as the highest paid superstar on Smackdown.

Porter reaches the commentary table, and puts on a set of headphones.

Michael Cole: Well, M.V.P, what do we owe the pleasure??

M.V.P: Aint it obvious Michael Cole??

Michael Cole: Well, I’m assuming you’re here to scout your possible opponents for the Money in the Bank ladder match in four weeks time??

M.V.P: Congratulations. (Porter pulls out a roll of $50 bills, and throws one at Cole) Have a prize, and keep up the good work.

Michael Cole: (Unsure whether to be happy or insulted) Umm, thanks??

Tazz: Well, M.V.P, out of the competitors set to compete here for the final two spots in the Money in the Bank ladder match, are there any you’d favour??

M.V.P: It’s not important Tazz. You call the match Money in the Bank … I AM Money in the Bank, I proved it on Saturday when I beat Finlay. When I rip that briefcase down at WrestleMania, my stock is gonna rise further, and the WWE are gonna have to show their appreciation. I’m talking bigger win bonuses, bigger appearance fees, more t-shirts, DVD’s with my face on the cover, and ultimately more money in my pocket.

Tazz: And hey, didn’t you just buy a private jet last week??

M.V.P: Absolutely Tazz. When you’re the M.V.P, you need to take care of yourself. I cant spend my free time in economy class with the working class. I need comfort, but I cant get that with my measly contract. Now, I know I’m the highest paid superstar on Smackdown, but LeBron James is a close personal friend, and if you saw the zeroes on his contract, you’d realise we need a bit of parity.

Tazz: Amen to that!!

Carlito enters the stage, to a great fan response, nodding at the reaction, as he makes his way down the ring.

Michael Cole: Well a couple weeks ago Montel, you and Carlito had a bit of a run in, didn’t you??

M.V.P: Did we?? To be honest Michael Cole, I don’t spend my time thinking about small fish. To be perfectly honest, I’m a little disappointed that this guy is deemed worthy enough to compete in the same match as me at WrestleMania.

Michael Cole: Well, to be fair, Carlito has been on a roll since moving to Smackdown last month. In fact, he’s yet to lose since moving to Friday Nights.

M.V.P: Hold on, I remember him now. Isn’t this the guy that didn’t win a match on Raw for six months last year?? I’m surprised this guy still has a job, let alone a brand new contract on a superior show.

Michael Cole: Well, when we come back, Carlito will be one of six men set to compete, with two to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania.

We return, with Carlito, Hardcore Holly, Chris Masters and Cody Rhodes all in the ring, with William Regal just entering as his music continues to play.

Charlie Haas enters to little response, hoping to get on the card for WrestleMania, having made the big show every year he has been with the company.

Carlito vs. Hardcore Holly vs. Chris Masters vs. Cody Rhodes vs. William Regal vs. Charlie Haas
Plenty of energy in the contest, with all six men at the very least capable of holding their own, whilst Carlito, Regal and Haas are of course top level performers, and it‘s down to Regal as the veteran to hold the match together. Throughout the match, Porter shows his disdain for Carlito on commentary, obviously remembering their showdown two weeks ago, despite pretending not to. Plenty of near falls, and the first finish comes, as Hardcore nails Cody with the Alabama Slam, but Charlie wants to steal the pin, throwing Holly out of the, and stealing the cover, but Carlito breaks the fall, and knocks down Haas, before catching poor Cody with the Apple Core, and looks to get the pin … BUT MVP HAS LEFT COMMENTARY, AND PULLS CARLITO OUT OF THE RING!!!!! Porter holds Carlito down, as Haas crawls onto Rhodes, and the referee counts the fall, 1...2...3!!!!!

1ST FALL: And Qualifying for Money in the Bank - Charlie Haas @ 08:12

Charlie Haas has qualified, all thanks to the work of Carlito, and the attack of M.V.P to Carlito!!! Haas has his hand raised and the match continues, with the contest down to four men, with Haas no longer needed, and Rhodes eliminated. Regal and Masters fight into the ring, with Regal not able to connect with his neck breaker, as Masters avoids it … AND APPLIES THE MASTERLOCK!!! Masters has Regal caught, and the veteran doesn’t seem able to break the grip … but he is saved just in time, by Hardcore Holly!!! Holly battles with Masters, but eventually is overpowered, and sent out of the ring. The Masterpiece then connects with the Polish hammer to Regal, but before he can cover, Carlito is back, having fought off Porter, and from behind delivers the Back Cracker!!! He makes the cover, but William Regal breaks the count, just before the three.

Regal and Carlito now go at it, with CCC too quick for the British veteran, eventually sending him out of the ring, onto Hardcore. Now though, M.V.P is on the apron, with a steel chair, and swings at Carlito … but Carlito ducks … AND PORTER NAILS MASTERS!!!!! Carlito dropkicks Porter off the apron, and covers Masters with the referee making the count, 1...2...3!!!!!

2ND FALL: And Qualifying for Money in the Bank - Carlito @ 04:10 (12:22)

Carlito grabs the final spot in the MITB ladder match!!! He overcomes the interference from Porter, and for the second year, finds himself part of the same match. CCC looks delighted, and points to Porter on the outside, mouthing ‘Das cool’, much to the annoyance of the highest paid superstar in Smackdown history.

Michael Cole: Well Tazz, it is now set. All eight men to compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match have now been decided, and what a line up it is.

Tazz: Heck of a line up Cole. Off the hook. I cannot wait for Money in the Bank, that’s for sure.

Michael Cole: Carlito and Charlie Haas will join M.V.P and Paul London from Smackdown, whilst former World Champion Randy Orton, the undefeated Umaga, veteran Finlay, and the Black Diamond Shelton Benjamin complete the line up over on Raw.

Tazz: Money in the Bank II is gonna be off the charts Cole. A former world champion, two undefeated superstars, a couple high flyers and a crafty veteran. Heck of a mix. As J.R would say, it’s a pick ‘em.

Michael Cole: And still to come tonight, Kid Kash puts his Cruiserweight title on the line against Chavo Guerrero, but we have yet to hear what the situation is after Kash ruined the #1 Contenders match at Saturday Nights Main Event between Brian Kendrick and Super Crazy. Arn Anderson is expected to rectify the situation later tonight.

We return with Maria, standing by with the WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam, dressed for action, already set for tonight’s main event.

Maria: Rob, after weeks of uncertainty, you now know that at WrestleMania, you’ll defend the WWE Championship against not only Mister Money in the Bank, but now, Chris Jericho has been added to the mix after his win against Edge at Saturday Nights Main Event … a match that you officiated. How are you feeling heading into another triple threat match at WrestleMania, and what’s your reaction to Chris Jericho’s words earlier tonight??

Van Dam places the championship over his shoulder, and takes the mic slowly from Maria.

Rob Van Dam: Y’know Maria … it’s all good. Right now, I’m happy to be able to say that I stand here today, WWE Champion … and defending into WrestleMania.

The relaxed RVD nods, and nonchalantly shrugs, before talking again.

Rob Van Dam: Another triple threat match?? That’s cool with me. After all, the last one didn’t go too badly, did it??

Van Dam raises the title off his shoulder a little, showing a cheeky smile.

Rob Van Dam: And as for Chris Jericho’s comments earlier?? Big deal. Jericho doesn’t need to thank me for anything. In the end, I just did what I had to do.

The champion fixes the belt on his shoulder, waiting for a moment before speaking again.

Rob Van Dam: But best of all Maria?? This is just the calm before the storm.

Van Dam suddenly switches from laid back to a little aggressive.

Rob Van Dam: On the surface?? I’m a cool cat. But underneath?? Man, underneath the surface, I’m just about ready to explode.

RVD picks up the intensity a couple of notches as he reaches the serious part of the promo.

Rob Van Dam: There are some people around these parts Maria, that seem to be thinking … ‘RVD had a good run, he’ll be happy with that’ … or ‘Man, that Van Dam must be running out of time now’, or even ‘Rob Van Dam has held that belt much longer than I thought, but there’s no way he’s keeping it at WrestleMania.’

Van Dam looks to the camera, then back to Maria.

Rob Van Dam: Well, I’ve got news for all those nay-sayers out there … I’m just getting started, and you aint seen nothing’ yet.

Pop from the fans in the background.

Rob Van Dam: Anyone that’s followed me through my career should know if there’s one thing that RVD is good at … it’s keeping championships.

RVD again raises the title a little from his shoulder.

Rob Van Dam: Twenty three months … ECW Television Champion … Rob Van Dam … six months AND COUNTING … W-W-E Champion … Rob … Van … Dam.

The fans chant along, as RVD points his fingers at his shoulder saying his name the second time. Van Dam then nods, fixing the title over his shoulder again, before leaving the interview.

Back into the arena…

Michael Cole: What a statement from the WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam. He isn’t letting the championship go without a fight, that’s for sure.

Tazz: No doubt about it. RVD hasn’t ducked a challenge since he became champ, and he sure is hell wont be startin now.

Michael Cole: And we had hoped to hear from Edge tonight too, but as our sources have told us, the Rated ‘R’ Superstar is ‘unavailable for comment’ tonight.

Tazz: It sure as hell aint like Edge to have nothin to say Cole. Mister Money in the Bank has gotta be pissed.

Chavo Guerrero enters the arena, getting a decent reception from the fans, ahead of the upcoming Cruiserweight title match.

Michael Cole: This past Saturday Night on NBC, the Cruiserweight Champion, Kid Kash abruptly put an end to the match that was set to determine the number one contender for the title at WrestleMania 23. On wwe.com this week, Smackdown General Manager Arn Anderson promised to address the situation tonight. This match, with Chavo Guerrero getting his rematch for the title was set before the shenanigans last Saturday.

Tazz: Well, we’ve yet to hear from the GM at all on this matter, what the heck is keeping him??

Michael Cole: I guess he’s trying to work out the best possible solution Tazz. Well, when we come back, the title is on the line, Kid Kash defends against Chavo Guerrero!!

The Cruiserweight Champion enters the arena, getting plenty of heat from the fans, and soaks it up, and holds out his hands, as if to ask for more.

Kid Kash vs. Chavo Guerrero
The two men put on a solid exhibition, with lots of chain wrestling to kick off proceedings, before kicking into high gear with lots of counters and reversals with plenty of pinning combinations for quick near falls, before Chavo begins to take over, out wrestling the champion. Kash struggles, but fights back, taking a couple of shortcuts to wrestle back the control. He begins to wear down Chavo for a brief period, but the challenger soon makes his comeback, and after fighting on the outside, they take it back in, with Chavo now setting up for the finish, looking for his trademark Gory Bomb … but Kash slips out, then delivers a deep arm drag, before avoiding an incoming Chavo, dropping neck first onto the ropes, and quickly kicks him in the gut … AND DELIVERS THE DEAD LEVEL!!!!! Kash hooks the leg tightly, 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: And STILL Cruiserweight Champion - Kid Kash @ 09:34

The Notorious K-I-D retains the title … and does it clean!!! Cole and Tazz are in shock, that Kash has actually won a match without cheating. In the ring, Kash celebrates like he just toppled King Kong, parading with the belt, telling anyone that will listen he’s ‘unstoppable’. The glory though, is short lived as …

The General Manager makes good on his promise, and looks set to address the cruiserweight champion. Double A stands on the ramp, wearing a blue dress shirt, with the WWE logo on the pocket, and black trousers with black shoes.

Arn Anderson: Son, no harm to ya, but you’ve been causin’ ma old noggin quite a bit of bother lately.

The GM fixes his glasses, looking down the ring sternly at the champion.

Arn Anderson: And without being disrespectful, the best thing for ya would be to take a trip to the woodshed.

The fans pop at Andersons matter of fact tone.

Arn Anderson: But, I’m a little too old to do that, and I’m in a position where it’d be best not ta anyway.

Kash mouths from the ring ‘Damn right’

Arn Anderson: So I’ll keep this short and sweet. Since ya seem pretty intent on makin sure that ya aint gotta defend that belt of yours at WrestleMania, given the fact ya creamed the two guys I had fight for that shot last Saturday night … ya leave me with little choice, don’t cha??

Kash shrugs, still smiling at his GM.

Arn Anderson: At first I just thought … ta hell with that, I’ll make the little rat face ‘em both.

Big pop from the fans, but Kash frantically shakes his head.

Arn Anderson: But then, as you’ll all be aware, there’s already a triple threat match at WrestleMania.

Kash breathes a sigh of relief.

Arn Anderson: So … I had A BETTER IDEA!!!

Fans pop again, whilst Kash looks pensive.

Arn Anderson: Since you seem so keen to get involved in the action son, how’s about you decide your opponent at WrestleMania?? How’s that catch ya??

The champion seems impressed, and nods, but the fans are not happy, and boo the decision.

Arn Anderson: Ohh, that’s splendid. I’ll explain how it’ll work, shall I??

Feeling great and looking happy, Kash waves his arm out, as if to say, go ahead.

Arn Anderson: Tremendous. How about over the next two weeks, ya face BOTH Brian Kendrick and Super Crazy in one on one matches.

Pop from the fans, as Kash’s smile drops, and he slowly starts to shake his head.

Arn Anderson: Ya win those two matches, then we’re fine and dandy. You get your wish … ya lose either match … and you’ll face that same guy at WrestleMania FOR that piece of gold over your shoulder.

The fans pop again, as Kash holds onto his precious title for dear life, shaking his head, yelling ‘NOOOO’

Arn Anderson: (Holds up his finger) Better still … now this bit (wags his finger) … this is my favourite … how ‘bout if you lose BOTH matches … you’re stripped of the title … and Kendrick and Super Crazy can fight it out for the belt at WrestleMania instead!!!

Huge pop, as Kash looks set to have a fit at this bombshell. On the stage, Anderson seems frustrated too, slapping his bald head.

Arn Anderson: That’s right!! God damn, I almost left out a really important piece of information … should you cheat to win EITHER match … I’ll automatically strip ya of the belt!!!!!

Icing on the cake!!! Kash throws his precious belt on the mat in anger, as Anderson enforces his authority, punishing Kash for his recent actions!!!

Suddenly though, the fans go APE SHIT, as Anderson even looks perturbed.

Arn Anderson: … What the hell??

What the hell is HBK doing on Smackdown?????????? Shawn Michaels starts kicking the ropes, and shaking them, as the fans go absolutely buck daft. Michaels is in his street clothes, dressed in jeans and cowboy boots, with a good few days stubble on his face, having managed to get in and jump the barricade … BUT WHY IS HE HERE???

Arn Anderson: Shawn?? Shawn, what are you doing?? What on Gods earth are ya doing here??

Michaels is handed a mic, and with a scowl on his face, HBK growls at the Smackdown General Manager.

Shawn Michaels: Arn, I’m sorry to do this … but I gotta do it.

Michaels turns to the audience to explain his actions.

Shawn Michaels: Chaos … and anarchy are the order … of the day.

Pop from the fans, as Anderson shakes his head in disappointment.

Shawn Michaels: And Arn, I’m sorry to tell ya, but good ‘ol Aitch-Bee-Kay is gonna KEEP causing chaos, and I’m gonna KEEP causing anarchy … until I GET exactly what I want.

Michaels walks around the ring, as the fans start to realise where he is going.

Shawn Michaels: And that?? Is Mick Foley … at Wrestle … MANIA!!!

The fans pop big time, wanting to see the match.

Shawn Michaels: Now I know the deal with Mick Foley … but frankly … I don’t care. This is a message to whomever it is, whichever fat cat it is that makes the decisions …

Michaels turns, and looks to the camera.

Shawn Michaels: Make it happen.

Fans pop.

Shawn Michaels: Find a loophole, find a way … just make it happen. Because if you don’t?? Expect more … much more … of this.

SWEET CHIN MUSIC TO KASH AGAIN!!!!! The fans pop big time, as Anderson turns at the entrance, hands on head, shocked at what he’s seeing.

Shawn Michaels: And this is only the beginning. If I’ve gotta go further?? You can bet your bottom dollar that the Showstopper is gonna do it.

HBK looks down at Kash, spread eagled after two super kicks.

Shawn Michaels: Let Good ‘ol Aitch-Bee-Kay make himself clear, if you hadn’t already got the message boys and girls … I want Mick Foley, and I want him in a match … at WrestleMania 23.

Michaels turns to the camera again, getting in a final message.

Shawn Michaels: So whether it’s here on Smackdown … or back on Monday Nights … I’m gonna KEEP doin whatever it is I gotta do … WHATEVER IT TAKES … until I GET … what I want.

Michaels slams the mic down, and quickly slides out of the ring, and hops the barricade, as we cut away with Cole and Tazz in complete shock at what they’ve just witnessed.

Return to ringside…

Michael Cole: We are back in Pittsburgh, and our main event still to come, Chris Jericho teams with Rob Van Dam, to take on Edge and Kurt Angle, but right now, I don’t know what to say … Shawn Michaels … a Raw superstar … just showed up on Smackdown!!!

Tazz: I’m lost for words Cole. Shawn Michaels?? If you hadda told me earlier that HBK woulda been here tonight, I’da told ya you were crazy Cole.

Michael Cole: And it was all in aide of WrestleMania. This past Monday, Shawn Michaels was informed that his match with Mick Foley, a scheduled street fight, was cancelled, due to the deteriorating mental state of Mick Foley. Tonight, he showed up on Smackdown, and vowed to do whatever it takes … ANYTHING to make the match happen on March 18.

Tazz: And the lord only knows what lengths The Showstopper will go to, to get what he wants.

Michael Cole: One thing is for sure Tazz, Shawn Michaels is hell bent on getting his match at WrestleMania … THAT’S how much it means to the superstars of the WWE … the will to go to any lengths to get on the big show. But two men that will definitely go come March 18 in the Superdome … Kurt Angle and The Undertaker!!!

Tazz: After Angles statement earlier tonight, I don’t know what to think of the Deadmans chances. Never before has he faced a rabid beast like Angle. Not only is the streak in big time trouble come WrestleMania … The Undertakers well being is just as much at stake. Cannot wait for those two to hook it up Cole.

Michael Cole: And earlier tonight, we found out that Matt and Jeff Hardy, reunited, reunion tour well under way, will get a shot at the WWE tag team champions, Americas Most Wanted. Two of the most highly regarded teams in WWE history, set to collide at WrestleMania. It promises to be an epic tag team contest.

Tazz: Lets not forget, both sides have demons to exorcise at Mania, Cole. In tag team matches, neither team has ever won a match at WrestleMania!!! Shocking statistic if you ask me, but for one, that ends at WrestleMania.

Michael Cole: Of course, also settled tonight, the two final places for the Money in the Bank ladder match, decided earlier tonight, as the King of Cool, Carlito, and Charlie Haas both qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Tazz: And what a list of stars they join Cole. The undefeated Samoan Bulldozer Umaga, The Irish veteran Finlay, the exciting high flying Shelton Benjamin, former two time World Champion Randy Orton, Paul London and the highest paid superstar on Smackdown, M.V.P.

Michael Cole: Such an array of talent, vastly different experiences, how do you pick a winner?? Eight top superstars, with a guaranteed title shot, good for one year up for grabs, at WrestleMania. And moving on from Money in the Bank this year, to the winner of last years briefcase, who has waited twelve months to cash it in. The Rated ‘R’ Superstar gets his title shot, but has to share the opportunity with Chris Jericho, as they look to end the reign of the WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam!!!

Tazz: Edge aint got no one to blame but himself Cole. He made the mess at SuperBrawl, he lost at Saturday Nights Main Event. He had the one on one shot, but he couldn’t let Jericho and Van Dam settle their issues one on one. He paid the price, and now, he may not even be involved in the decision at WrestleMania to lose the match!!!

Michael Cole: How about this - for the first time ever, announced last Monday night on Raw - The Iron Man, Brock Lesnar, to face The Game, Triple H!!!

Tazz: This is what WrestleMania is all about partner. Five years in the making … first time ever, Lesnar and Triple H are gonna cross paths … what a match. Explosive situation Cole, great match.

Michael Cole: Brent Albright, United States Champion since October, faces the toughest challenge of his reign, as he takes on the Animal, Batista!!!

Tazz: Albright is resourceful, but he’s gonna need to be on top of his game in the Big Easy, because one thing for sure, aint gonna be easy come WrestleMania.

Michael Cole: And then, it’s the collision course. The two biggest names today on Raw … The Champ, John Cena, the 2007 Royal Rumble winner, Captain Charisma, Christian, one on one for the Worlds Heavyweight Championship.

Tazz: Raw main event, and what a main event. The two indisputable top stars on Raw, gonna collide on the biggest stage of ‘em all. A showdown worthy of the showcase of the immortals.

Michael Cole: It promises to be one of the most memorable WrestleManias in history, and it’ll come from New Orleans for the first time ever on March 18. Four weeks from this Sunday, the countdown Tazz … is on!!!

Kurt Angle steps out into the arena, getting another tremendous ovation from his hometown, as we get set for tonights main event match.

Michael Cole: And as we get set for our Smackdown main event, we’ve just received word from the General Managers office. In addition to next weeks match between Kid Kash and Brian Kendrick, Mister Money in the Bank is in action, and he'll face Bobby Lashley!!!

Tazz: What!!?? Are you kiddin??

Michael Cole: That’s what I’ve been told. Edge takes on Bobby Lashley. Two men who had quite the rivalry last December will meet again, next week in Anaheim.

Tazz: Oh boy, this is definitely the WrestleMania season Cole.

Edge storms out through the smoke, focusing directly on the ring, not looking even sideways at the fans, looking to be on the brink of snapping with a wide eyed look on his face, carrying the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Michael Cole: Look at the eyes Tazz, look at the demeanour of the Rated ‘R’ Superstar!!!

Tazz: I’m startin to think that maybe it was a good thing Edge didn’t speak to anyone. Intensity personified.

Chris Jericho steps out, making his usual entrance, standing backward, arms spread out, spinning around, getting a highly mixed reaction from the fans, unsure how to take Jericho in recent weeks. The Highlight of the Night makes his way down the ring, with Edge prowling like a caged tiger at the ring ropes, wanting to get a piece of Y2J.

Michael Cole: This is a potential powder keg here Tazz. Edge wants a piece of Jericho, without a doubt.

Tazz: Run for cover if these two lock horns tonight Cole. No love lost whatsoever.

The fans are on their feet for the insanely popular WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam. He struts down the ramp, title belt hooked around his shoulder, turning, and putting it in the face of Jericho as he is announced as champion. He also does his ever present thumb taunt as he reaches the bottom of the ramp.

Michael Cole: Ladies and Gentlemen, when we come back, it’s main event time, and you don’t want to miss this.

We return, just in time for the main event.

Main Event:
Rob Van Dam & Chris Jericho vs. Kurt Angle & Edge
And this talent does not disappoint. The four men put on an excellent main event match, continuing the recent trend of high quality, long, Smackdown main events that have been catching the eye for the last couple of months. Edge doesn’t see any action for the early going, and paces up and down the apron, desperately seeking the action, but Angle looks to keep things under control, realising Edge’s fragile state at the moment. Meanwhile, despite their problems, RVD and Jericho seem to be working fine on the opposite side, with no dissention in the early going. With Kurt Angle uncomfortable to tag Edge in, the Rated ‘R’ Superstar takes matters into his own hands, and makes a blind tag in off Angle, going straight to work on the WWE Champ, pounding him down in the corner, letting off some steam after having to wait for nearly five minutes to get in the action.

Mister Money in the Bank has his way with Van Dam, but curiously after getting a lot of his pent up aggression out on RVD, he throws the champion to his corner, challenging Jericho to make the tag, and meet him in the ring!!! On the apron, Angle is having fits, yelling at Edge to get back on RVD, but Edge ignores his partner, not even acknowledging Angles calls. Meanwhile, Jericho obliges, making the tag off Van Dam, and the fans come to their feet, as they quickly meet in the middle of the ring, beating each other with wild punches, but it’s Edge that wins the battle, and pounds down his enemy, before beating him in the corner. Edge looks to continue the damage … but Angle puts a stop to it, making a blind tag himself!!!

Angle and Edge begin to argue with Angle telling Edge he’s crazy, but as the two argue … JERICHO NAILS EDGE WITH A CLOTHESLINE!!! This though allows Angle to capitalise, and nails a German from behind on Y2J, as he begins to put a beating to his opponent. Jericho though, doesn’t take it for long, and gets his offence in on Angle, before tagging back out, bringing in the champion once again. RVD lands a couple of kicks, then comes at Angle … BUT GETS CAUGHT WITH A BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!!! Angle spins around, getting a great ovation (not wanting one), as the champion squirms in the ring, before we head into the final commercial of the night.

And we return with RVD battling out of a front headlock, and making a brief comeback on Angle, hitting the crowd pleasing Rolling Thunder!!! Van Dam now looks to end it, hopping to the top rope, looking for the Five Star … BUT EDGE THROWS HIM OFF!!!!! Pittsburgh rains down heat on the Rated ‘R’ Superstar, but Edge couldn’t care less, as he reaches out, and makes a tag from Angle. From here, Edge and Angle start to pick apart Van Dam, beginning to work like a well oiled machine, but RVD fights as much as he can, kicking out of everything Angle and Edge throw at him. He avoids a couple of attempts by Angle at the Anklelock, and survives an Angle Slam, thanks to Jericho saving him, much to the surprise of Tazz and Cole, with Jericho helping one of his WrestleMania opponents.

Eventually, Angle looks for the Angle Slam again, but this time, Van Dam lands on his feet, AND CONNECTS WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!!!! The champion now begins to crawl to his corner, looking to make a tag out to Jericho … reaching out … BUT JERICHO DOESN’T!!! Van Dam looks up, as Jericho seems conflicted, unsure whether he should tag in or not … but changes his mind … as Angle tags in Edge … and he instantly tags RVD … AND COLLIDES WITH EDGE AGAIN!!!

Edge and Jericho don’t hold back again, and let their fury explode, beating the holy hell out of one another. Edge misses a spear, and Jericho misses the Lionsault, before the two fight to the outside again. In the ring, RVD is on top of Angle, and connects with the Monkey Flip, before looking for the second time to hit the Five Star Frog Splash … BUT ANGLE SHOOTS UP … AND THROWS VAN DAM OFF THE TOP ROPE!!!! The fans go nuts for Angle, as the straps come down … ANKLE LOCK TIME …

The camera focuses on the titan tron, as two closed eyes OPEN … The Undertakers eyes take up the whole titan tron, with the fans popping like mad, with some howls and screams heard from some sections. The eyes close again.

The lights come back on … AND ANGLE HAS THE ANKLE LOCK LOCKED IN ON VAN DAM!!! He took NO NOTICE of the mind games!!! Angle twists the ankle, despite neither man being legal … Angle is just looking to cause damage … BUT GETS CLOCKED BY CHRIS JERICHO … WITH AN ENZIGURI!!! Jericho then looks down on RVD, rolling around, clutching his ankle … and Jericho … jumps to the ropes … AND NAILS HIS PARTNER WITH A LIONSAULT!!!! What the hell is going on here??? Jericho hit’s the move, and trash talks Van Dam, then turns around … AND GETS SPEARED!!!!!!!!! Edge connects with the Spear, and covers his rival, 1...2...3!!!!!
Winners: Edge & Kurt Angle @ 15:49

It’s redemption for Edge, after his gut wrenching loss to Jericho last Saturday on NBC!!! Edge gets in Jerichos face, making his point to Y2J, before getting back to his feet, and met by a barrage of boos from the fans. Meanwhile, Kurt Angle has rolled out of the ring, with Cole and Tazz quickly talking about how he zoned out of the Deadmans mind games, before turning their focus back to Edge.

The Rated ‘R’ Superstar grabs his briefcase, and calls for the WWE Championship too, holding both in the ring. He drops the title for a second … AND SMASHES VAN DAM WITH THE CASE!!!!! He doesn’t stop there though, and turns his attention to Jericho, who pulls himself back up … AND GETS PUT DOWN WITH THE BRIEFCASE!!!!!

Edge stands over both his WrestleMania opponents, picking up the WWE Championship belt again, before climbing the ropes, and ominously holding up BOTH the Money in the Bank briefcase … and the coveted WWE Championship belt, to a hostile reception, as we go off the air…
