Re: WWE: A Strong Response

We saw Bobby Lashley appear on Smackdown last night, and it has been confirmed by sources backstage that he will be switching to the blue brand on the “Open House” rules. Creative had nothing for him on Raw and felt he would be more beneficial on the Smackdown roster. It must also be noted that Lashley’s contract expires later this year, towards September time, and he has been talking about the prospect of going in to the world of MMA.

During Mickie James’s match with Beth Phoenix last night, a mystery woman attacked Michelle McCool and distracted Mickie, leading to The Glamazon winning the match. To those who didn’t know her, it was Rain, otherwise known as Peyton Banks from her spell in TNA. She signed a deal a couple of months ago and is expected to join the brand on an active basis as of next week, but there is no news on what name she will be using.

WWE.com also added confirmation of Michael Shane’s Cruiserweight Championship defence against Kid Kash at Judgment Day.

The Badstreet Boys & The DiBiase Brothers’ Streetfight was stopped by the referee after Mike & Brett ambushed York & Matthews before it could start.

James Reiher called out The Empire and blamed Hade Vansen for him having to defend the FCW Championship against Afa next week. Vansen apologised and said it was a mistake, and that he had an idea in making it up to him, by facing Afa himself later on.

Colt Cabana asked Joe Hennig to forgive him for costing him his match last week, but Hennig wouldn’t have any of it and told Cabana to leave him alone. Cabana then asked him for a match, and Hennig accepted.

“The Natural” Nic Nemeth df. CJ Red in a Semi Final match of the FCW Television Championship tournament.

Joe Hennig df. Colt Cabana. After the match, Cabana got up and wanted to shake Hennig’s hand, but Hennig nailed him with a right hand.

Roucka was interviewed just before a break by Lena Yada, and she said that in a few moments, she will not only beat Shantelle Taylor, she will embarrass her and take the FCW Women’s Championship away from her.

Shantelle Taylor df. Roucka to retain the FCW Women’s Championship thanks to interference from Shawn Spears.

Hade Vansen df. Afa Jr with interference from The Empire & James Reiher. Afterwards, Teddy Hart & TJ Wilson ran down and attacked Drew McIntyre & Stu Sanders, but Reiher got out of the way, not wanting to get involved. Reid Flair then ran down to fight off Vansen ahead of their Semi Final match next week.

Confirmed for Next Week

FCW Heavyweight Championship

Afa Jr vs James Reiher (c)

FCW Tag Team Championship

TJ Wilson & Teddy Hart vs The Empire (c)

FCW Television Championship Tournament – Semi Final Match

Reid Flair vs Hade Vansen
(The winner faces “The Natural” Nic Nemeth on Raw two days later)
