Re: Being The Booker
!!A special Three Hour Raw!!
The fallout from the crazy Saturday night that was WWE SuperBrawl begins in earnest from the All State Arena in Chicago, Illinois, and it'll be a one off, three hour edition of Raw that will really send the WrestleMania journey into full flight.
Less than six weeks now remain until the Showcase of the Immortals, and on Saturday night, John Cena shocked the world, defeating The Game, Triple H with just fifteen seconds to spare in the 60 Minute Iron Man Match to become World Heavyweight Champion for the third time, setting up a spectacular Collision Course with the 2007 Royal Rumble winner, Christian in New Orleans on March 18th.
With Triple H so close to victory, so close to the WrestleMania main event that he so craved dearly, The Game is sure to be at rock bottom. Not an ideal mood for someone that is set to get married on National Television.
Tonight, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will attempt to tie the knot for the second time, after the previous attempt to once again become man and wife in November was scuppered by the antics of Christian. With Triple H no longer the target of Christian, can we expect smooth sailing?? Given the heartwrenching loss The Game suffered at SuperBrawl ... can we expect a wedding at all??
With the pomp and pagentry of the "Wedding of the Year" put to the side for one moment, this weeks Raw also has a number of spectacular matches to offer, all with implications towards WrestleMania.
Firstly, the on-going war between Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton WILL finally be settled this week, and it will happen inside the confines of a 15 foot high steel cage. Not only will the winner have the final say in this personal rivalry, but he will also have his ticket to WrestleMania; and an opportunity to win a title shot, good for one year by competing in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Shawn Michaels has been synonymous with ladder matches in his WrestleMania history; competing at WrestleManias 10 and 20 in a ladder match, the latter being against a young upstart by the name of Randy Orton. Will The Showstopper get the opportunity to once again steal the show in a ladder match at WrestleMania?? Or will Randy Orton move one step closer to finally being victorious at a WrestleMania??
Then, for the third consecutive week, MNM, the reigning World Tag Team Champions will be scheduled to defend the titles against the rightful #1 Contenders; Straight Edge. CM Punk and Greg Helms have been avoided thus far by the champions, who have called the previous two matches off with cases of food poisoning and 'chicken-pox', the second of which being supposedly diagnosed by a 'reputable' Doctor, only to be revealed as a hoax. Will Mercury and Nitro finally face the music, and give Straight Edge the title shot they have chased for months?? Or will the champions find yet another way out of defending the titles??
And, fresh off his scintillating victory against the odds at SuperBrawl, John Cena will once again be in action, taking on another man coming off a match at SuperBrawl - the McMahon Family Empires 'Problem Solver', Tyson Tomko. Tomko was soundly beaten by his former friend, and Cenas WrestleMania opponent, Christian at SuperBrawl, quitting after taking a gruesome beating. Can Tomko redeem himself tonight?? And will Cena be feeling the effects of the draining sixty minute war just 48 hours ago??
Also, the Royal Rumble Winner Christian WILL be in attendance, as will The Iron Man Brock Lesnar, The Samoan Bulldozer Umaga, the Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio and many more in what promises to be one Monday Night Raw you cannot afford to miss.
*Expect Raw to go up on Wednesday. I'll be trying to do my rounds, and complete any reviews I need to*
