Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
RAW Review
Opening: A good opening, a little surprised that JBL chose himself, but then I realized that it was totally like himself to choose himself; after al, he's a "Wrestling God". I've never been a fan of his ring work (or JBL in general), but HBK can carry almost anyone to a good match.
Carlito/Holly: While I don't like Holly, I'm glad he got the win, because it keeps momentum for his team, while not taking any away the other one. Although, seeing as how Santino's more of a comedy wrestler, it would've made more sense for him to lose his match, and Carlito to win his.
Kennedy/Murdoch: The match was basically a squash, and his promo was good, but since Punk is the MITB holder, it would've been better that Kennedy insult him.
JBL Interview: I figured that was why JBL chose himself. I don't have much to say on this, other than it was good.
Show/Crazy: Just a squash. Nothing else to say.
Cena Interview: Cena doesn't really seem like a conceited guy, and that's kind of how he came off here, especially with asking Maria out. And Snitzky? Why isn't he gone?
Tag Match: Just seemed like a filler match, nothing special. It seems like you're pushing CT, which is good.
Cantino Interview: Not really an interview, but I digress. The Tag Title Match should be a good one, hoping that Holly and Rhodes drop the titles.
Rhodes/Smith: The match seemed a little random, just to give Rhodes some momentum heading into his title match next week. But for some reason, I think that we'll be seeing this match someday in the future in reality for the IC Title or something.
Melina/Jillian: I've got to check back on this thread, seeing as how it was inactive due to your banning. I say that because the only way this match really had some sort of signifigance was if Melina was Women's Champion. Otherwise, it didn't have much to it, and seemed like filler.
Regal/Hunter Segment: I feel that this cheapened the main event. It was kind of like a Pick Your Poison, only the representatives faced each other. Adding Hunter to the match is kind of like a copout, and doesn't make it feel as important. It just seems like you needed a way to get Hunter on the show.
Cena/Snitzky: I feel bad for Cena, since he had to wrestle Snitzky before a hot date with Maria. He'll be picturing those pearly yellows all night. An okay match.
Highlight Reel: Good thing you're doing something with Burchill. Best segment of the night, both guys were really in-character, and I love that the brawl got out of hand. It's always good to see a fight get broken up by security.
Main Event: MOTN by far. The finish was good, as no one looked weak. It gives Shawn great momentum heading into his title match, which should be a good one. I was expecting Orton to come out and deliver some RKOs, since it was noted several times he wasn't there, and usually, they are.
Overall: A less-than-solid show, due to the fact that most of the matches were just squashes or filler. The segments saved the show, especially the Highlight Reel, which I would imagine to be a very good segment, since Jericho's a god on the mic. It had good build-up to the PPV, although it could've been better if Kennedy beat someone credible in a non-squash. Other than that, it was a pretty good show. 6.5/10.
