Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
1.) Shark Boy vs. Zach Gowen vs. Jerrelle Clark vs. Amazing Red vs. Elix Skipper vs. Delirious - **1/2
Insanely fast paced, spotty goodness. Clark was actually the most impressive out of the bunch. Great opener that got the crowd going.
2.) Shocker vs. Alex Shelley - ***
Nice technical wrestling match.
3.) Ron Killings vs. Kip James - *
Jeez, did the New age outlaws EVER have a good match since joining Tna...
4.)Tag titles - The Naturals vs. Team Canada - **1/2
Good tag action but a little on the average side. Great surprise at the end though.
5.) Dutt vs Joe - **3/4
Very significant moment in that this was Joe's debut. Good showcase and an above average debut for the current champ.
6.) Hoyt vs Roode - **1/2
A fine match but the show stealer was the after match antics of D'amore getting his pants pulled down and Tenay and Dw's reaction to it. "Children all around the world are scarred for life!" lol. Hoyt was over as hell on a ODB type of scale.
7.) AMW vs. 3Live Kru - *1/2
Read match #3...
8.) X division three way elimination - Sabin vs Daniels vs Bentley - ***3/4
Bentley kind of dragged down the quality a bit and you could really notice this as the action was alot better when it was Sabin vs Daniels. Started off spotty but got really good toward the end. The finish was a little abrupt but other than that a great x-division match.
9.) KOTM World title - Styles vs Monty vs Waltman vs Raven vs Abyss - ***3/4
Lots of memorable and amazing spots in this such as Aj doing a spiral tap to the outside through a table on Abyss, Waltman hitting an X-factor off the top of the ladder, Abyss getting pounced off the ladder into a table etc. Really fun chaotic match. I didn't really like the whole "making deals" thing that Aj and Waltman did, made the champ look like an idiot but a great ME regardless.
Overall a pretty good ppv, some duds (mostly involving 3live crew/NAO) but also some solid wrestling and 2 great matches towards the end.
