What stop me from giving it the full 5 stars is for 2 reasons:
1. Vince came out too early. His interference should have immediately lead to the finish. I can imagine Jr immediately screaming "WHAT IN THE HELL?! MCMAHON HELPED AUSTIN?! WHAT HAS HAPPENED HERE?!", then we'd see McMahon and Austin shaking hands.
2. The sloppy chair shots at the end. The Rock kicked out of damn near everything, so Austin just sloppily hit his prone body with a chair several times, then got the pin. I would have preferred a hellacious chair shot from vince, into a Stunner as the finish.
Other than that, its near perfect. Crowd was electric, good storytelling, and memorable turn by Austin.

I thought it was more of a frustration thing. It played well into the story IMO. Austin returning from injury & trying to get back onto the top of the wrestling mountain, but having to get through the resilient champion. The countless near falls for Austin aggravated him to the point where he just had to deliver countless chair shots to solidify how much he wanted to become WWF Champion. I didn't find them 'sloppy' at all. A chair shot & then a stunner seems too generic IMO.
