Monday Night RAW; April 7th, 2008; Miami, Florida:
The usual opening package plays with the music To Be Loved by Papa Roach, when the video finishes we go to the commentary desk where JR and King welcome us and tell us that tonight WWE continues it’s tour of the sunny Florida! They then tell us what we will see tonight! We will see; WWE Champion, Randy Orton choose who he will be facing at Backlash for the WWE Championship, Mr. Kennedy and Paul Burchill vs. ‘Mr. Money In The Bank’ CM Punk and Chris Jericho. They then say that we are about to find out who Orton chooses to be his opponent now!
The music of the WWE Champion hits as the crowd give him a negative reception, he soaks it all in. He isn’t in his ring attire as he is wearing, blue jeans, sunglasses and a WWE Randy Orton T-Shirt. He proceeds to walk to the ring and receives a microphone. He starts off by saying that the Age of Orton will continue as he is using this opportunity to his advantage, and the person to face him will be the next person to walk out from the back. Orton smirks as he clearly has something up his sleeve, when… The music of Mr. McMahon plays, Orton looks shocked as does the WWE fans! The Chairman of The WWE walks down the ramp with a microphone in his hand. Orton looks pissed as Mr. McMahon has spoiled his moment, Mr. McMahon then begins speaking and says that even though Mr. Regal did in fact say last week Orton could name his opponent at Backlash, this wont happen! Orton doesn’t look happy at all with the statement and starts pacing up and down in the ring. Mr. McMahon says that champions never name their opponents, so tonight in RAW’s main event it will be a Fatal Four Way match, featuring, Triple H, John Cena, Shawn Michaels and John Bradshaw Layfield and the winner will receive a WWE Title shot at Backlash!!!
Match #1
Paul London vs. Charlie Hass
Match Ending: This match was used for two reasons, to promote the return of the Cruiserweight Championship and to give both Charlie Hass and Paul London some TV time. Both men have had their fair share of momentum with London maybe edging it out with a lot more chances to put Hass away. Hass is in the corner of the ring whilst London is lying on the floor thanks to a boot to the face from Charlie Hass. London pulls himself up and Charlie Hass runs at him London reverses this attempt and runs up the top turnbuckle, he then hits a perfectly hit Moonsault onto Charlie Hass, he then hooks the leg and the referee counts to three!
Winner: Paul London
Mr Kennedy is backstage and is seen warming up for his match that is on later on in the night. His partner for tonight, Paul Burchill, walks into the room. He says, Hi Kennedy, tonight leave it all to me, I want to be the one to fight both Jericho and Punk, and I want to be the one to get the 3 count. Kennedy who has just been looking at the floor suddenly glares at Burchill, he stands up calmly and says, Listen here, Burchill. Tonight we go out as a team, you can have Jericho while I take Punk, and I don’t care if you don’t like it. Kennedy then walks out of the room as a commercial break begins.
Match #2
Carlito w/ Santino Marella vs. Hardcore Holly
Match Ending: Carlito has been dominating the whole match by aiming at the back of Hardcore Holly, Carlito has managed to distract the referee a few times also giving Santino the chance to get in a few cheap shots for Carlito. Cody Rhodes tries to stop Santino but is useless at doing so. Carlito has Holly lying on the floor and is working away on his stomach kicking his gut, Holly starts to stand up, getting on one knee but Carlito keeps throwing punches. Holly manages to get Carlito in the Alabama Slam position but Carlito wriggles out and NAILS HIM WITH A BACKSTABBER!! Carlito hooks the leg of Hardcore Holly and rolls out of the ring as Cody Rhodes slides in.
Winner: Carlito
Cody Rhodes slides into the ring and helps up Hardcore Holly who is holding his back, Cody is staring at Carlito and Santino. Santino moves his hands around his waist gesturing that they’re gunning for Cody and Holly’s Tag Team titles.
A commercial break ends and we see an empty room backstage, the camera looks down and to everybody’s shock we see John Bradshaw Layfield lying in a bloodied state on his locker room floor. Nobody has any idea who could of done this.
The camera then shows CM Punk who is talking to some random worker, Chris Jericho comes into the view receiving a nice reception from the crowd. Jericho tells Punk he has his back tonight, and that CM Punk better have his. Punk tells him he does.
Match #3
3 on 3 Tag Team Match
Melina & Beth Pheonix & Victoria vs. Michelle McCool & Mickie James & Maria
Match Ending: Beth Pheonix has been brawling with Mickie most of the match and currently outside the ring, Michelle McCool is the legal woman for her team and Victoria is the legal woman for hers. Michelle McCool is lying in the corner as Victoria runs at her and hits a clothesline dropping Michelle to the floor. She then proceeds to choke her with her boot until the referee gets to a count of 4, she tags in Melina as Michelle tags in Maria, Michelle runs at Victoria and knocks her to the outside and they brawl too along with Mickie and Beth. Maria is clearly the weaker woman in the ring and Melina quickly takes advantage, hitting the Neckbreaker and then pins Maria for the win.
Winner: Melina & Beth Pheonix & Victoria
Melina sees that nobody can help Maria so she decides to attack her, pulling her hair and kicking her in the face and gut. She throws her into the corner and hits a high kick to her face, she then hits ANOTHER NECKBREAKER, before she slides out of the ring and heads to the back. RAW then cuts for a commercial break.
Maria is backstage with Triple H who is in the main event match tonight, but will it still be a Fatal Four Way? Maria asks Triple H if he attacked John Bradshaw Layfield? Triple H says that when he attacks somebody to a bloodied pulp it’s in the ring not in a locker room. She asks if he is weary of facing his friend Shawn Michaels tonight? Triple H replies saying, Like I have said a thousand times, when there is a chance to win a title I would pedigree my own grandmother, so a friend? I would do it to him easily. Triple H then walks away.
The camera fades to black and then fades into the back where William Regal is standing. He says that he has an announcement about the Main Event tonight, it will now be a TRIPLE THREAT MATCH, John Bradshaw Layfield is not fit enough to compete.
The camera is then focused on the ring, When Burn In My Light hits the PA for the second time for tonight, Randy Orton comes out carrying a microphone and dressed the same as he was when he came out earlier in the night. The crowd give him a lot of heat, he climbs into the ring and looks at the fans before raising the WWE Title up in the air. He waits for the heat to die down before starting to talk. He says, You may all be wondering who attacked John Bradshaw Layfield to a bloodied pulp? Well……It was me! The crowd looked shocked, he carries on talking, I had a threat to my title which needed to be eliminated, you fans should count yourself lucky as we wouldn’t even have a title match tonight if it wasn’t for you all finding Layfield! Orton looks to continue talking but is interrupted when the music of JOHN CENA hits the PA!
‘The doctor of thuganomics’ makes his way to the ring carrying a microphone, he receives a lot of cheers from the crowd but you can hear some boos in the distance. He slides into the ring and looks at Orton before bringing the microphone to his lips. He says, Orton, you can’t just attack people because they cause a threat to your ‘Dominance’ or whatever crap you were talking about before Wrestlemania! Your supposed to make statements in the ring and prove you’re a good champion, not by attacking someone from behind and behind closed doors. Orton….looks as if you’re a coward.
Orton interrupts Cena, COWARD? COWARD!?!? Your telling me you wouldn’t do the same thing if your had the chance to save your title? Nobody can stop me, Cena I have beat you, damn it put you on the shelf! I have beat Shawn Michaels more times than I can remember and I have beat Triple H as well. So whoever wins tonight, wont matter as the Age Of Orton will continue.
Cena shouts at Orton telling him to shut up which receives a lot of cheers from the crowd. Orton drops his microphone and gets into Cena’s face who drops his microphone. Cena punches Orton in the face knocking him to the floor, the both begin to brawl before officials break them up. Regal comes out to the ring and announces that next week here on RAW we will see Randy Orton versus John Cena in a No Disqualification Match. He then says and if it Is Cena who wins tonight if he wins next week he gets to choose the match choice at Backlash. RAW Cuts for a commercial break.
Match #4
Umaga vs. The Big Show
Match Ending: For the first time ever the ‘Samoan bulldozer’ takes on the ‘Largest athlete in the world’. Both are brawling basically and neither have had much of an advantage. The Big Show manages to push Umaga away from him and hits him with a punch to the forehead knocking him to the floor. He picks Umaga back up and hits a chop to the chest before signaling the Chokeslam but Umaga hits the Samoan Spike out of nowhere! He covers The Big Show but only gets a two count! Umaga goes crazy and heads to the top turnbuckle, he hits a diving head butt onto The Big Show. But Umaga has already lost it, he slides to the outside of the ring and grabs a chair, he slides back in and whacks it onto The Big Show’s face. The referee calls for the disqualification. Umaga continues his assault on the big show. Leaving him in a bloodied state. RAW goes for a commercial break.
Winner via Disqualification: The Big Show
Maria is backstage with John Cena, they talk about the announcement that William Regal made earlier, that John Cena will face Randy Orton next week in a No Disqualification match. Cena tells Maria he will win his match tonight and will beat Orton next week so he can choose the match stipulation. Maria asks Cena what match would he choose, but Cena smiles and walks away.
Match #5
Shad w/JTG vs. Lance Cade w/Trevor Murdoch
Match Ending: Lance Cade hasn’t had a lot of offense on Shad as he has managed to dominate Cade with his strength. Trevor Murdoch causes a distraction for Lance Cade to gain an advantage as he pokes Shad’s eyes and then hits a clothesline onto him knocking him to the floor. Cade covers Shad for the one count. Cade picks him up and runs to the ring ropes looking to kick Shad at the side of his head but Shad moves his head and Cade misses, Cade turns around and is nailed with the Big Boot. Shad covers him for the 3 count.
Winner: Shad
Trevor Murdoch slides into the ring, the idiot doesn’t realize that he is outnumbered two to one. He runs at Shad but is hit with a clothesline knocking him to the floor. JTG picks him up and him and Shad hit him with the G9!!!! TREVOR MUDOCH IS FLAT ON HIS BACK!! Raw then cuts for a commercial break.
A video then plays to hype up the upcoming Pay Per View, Backlash. Which is scheduled to be held on the 27th of April at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

Main Event
The Undertaker vs. Batista
Match Ending:
Both men know one another very well and it plays a factor in this match as there are a lot of reversals and a lot of momentum changes. Undertaker has Batista in the corner and is pounding him with left’s and right’s he brings Batista out of the corner and twists his arm before climbing up the turnbuckle still holding onto Batista’s arm, and jumps off to elbow it hitting a little Old School! He then slides out of the ring and reaches into the ring and pulls Batista’s head so its leaning on the apron. He then perform a leg drop onto Batista as Batista slides to the floor down below. The Undertaker picks Batista back up and rolls him into the ring, he picks Batista up and throws him against the ropes, Batista uses this opportunity to gain some momentum and hits a spear on The Undertaker, only getting the two count. He then picks up The Undertaker and throws him into the corner, he runs at The Undertaker looking to clothesline him in the corner but The Undertaker moves he then runs off the ropes and delivers a wicked Big Boot to Batista, he then waits till Batista gets up and hits Batista with the Chokeslam, before locking in his deadly submission hold, Batista taps straight away.
Winner via submission: The Undertaker
The Undertaker keeps the hold locked in as Batista is left motionless, Edge, Chavo, Hawkins and Ryder then slide into the ring and attack The Undertaker, the 4 on 1 assault is too much for the ‘Deadman’ and all four men get him to the floor, the proceed to kick him as Edge and Chavo slide out of the ring looking for steel chairs, The Undertaker then double Chokeslam’s both Hawkins and Ryder, and then Chokeslam’s Chavo when he runs towards him with a steel chair. Edge takes the best out of the opportunity and SMASHES THE UNDERTAKER’S SKULL WITH THE STEEL CHAIR! The Undertaker is motionless, but nevertheless Edge goes to one of the corners and waits patiently, the brave Undertaker gets up still groggy and is holding his head, he turns around into a CRUNCHING SPEAR FROM THE ‘RATED R SUPERSTAR’!! Edge looks down at him smiling.

Mr. Kennedy & Paul Burchill vs. Chris Jericho & CM Punk
Match Ending: Kennedy has been fighting with CM Punk all the way through the match, he has made forced tags whenever Punk gets tagged from Jericho much to the annoyance of his tag team partner Paul Burchill. Kennedy has CM Punk in the bottom half on the corner of the ring. He runs at CM Punk and hits the facewash onto CM Punk. Burchill calls for the tag but Kennedy ignores him. Burchill shouts fine and then leaves the ring. Kennedy looks at him and shouts for him to get his ass back here. Punk manages to tag in Jericho who runs at Kennedy and hits the bulldog. He then runs and jumps against the ring ropes HITTING THE LIONSAULT!! Jericho doesn’t pin Kennedy though he looks at Punk and tags him in. Punk picks up Kennedy and LOCKS IN THE ANACONDA VICE!!!.....KENNEDY TAPS OUT!!
Winners: CM Punk & Chris Jericho.
CM Punk and Jericho have their hands risen in the ring by the referee, CM Punk receives a microphone he starts talking. Kennedy, I’ve had a thought, since I’m putting my Money In The Bank Briefcase on the line, why don’t you put you RAW Contract on the line?
Basically Immediately after Punk saying that William Regal comes out with a microphone and says, you know what Punk? I love that idea! So at Backlash it will now be a Money In The Bank Briefcase vs. Kennedy’s RAW Contract!!! Raw cuts for a commercial break.
Main Event
Shawn Michaels vs. John Cena vs. Triple H
Winner is named Number One Contender
Match Ending: Triple H has nailed Cena with the Pedigree and him and Michaels are standing in the ring staring at one another, Michaels turns away but then goes to hit the Sweet Chin Music, but Triple H sees it coming and moves he goes for a Pedigree but Michaels sees it coming and reverses it! These two know each other too well! The lock up in the middle of the ring and have a battle of strength, Triple H gets Michaels into the corner but is forced to let go when the referee begins his count. He cheap shots Michaels hitting him with a punch. Triple H backs up as Michaels smirks and then runs at Triple H but Triple H HITS THE SPINEBUSTER!!! John Cena has recuperated and runs at Triple H hitting a clothesline. He raises his hand in the air gesturing the Five Knuckle Shuffle he runs against the ring ropes and hits Triple H with the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He then waits for Triple H to get up and manages to hit him with a DEVASTATING FU!! he then locks in the STFU and it looks as if Cena has the match won but Michaels pulls Cena off Triple H and then starts throwing punches at him. He then runs against the ring ropes and hits a clothesline! He quickly climbs the top rope and hits a Leap Of Faith. He flips up onto his feet and starts tuning up the band!! Cena is up and MICHAELS HITS THE SWEET CHIN MUSIC!!!!! He hooks the leg of John Cena…1…2…3!!!!
Winner and NEW number one contender: Shawn Michaels
Michaels has his hand risen by the referee, Raw goes off the air as the camera is on Shawn Michaels who is smirking looking at the downed Triple H and John Cena. His music blasts through the PA. Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross wish us a good night.
